Good value for the money, versatile notebooks
This 12 pack of notebooks is a great find, I am quite happy with them. What I like is that the lines are dark and strongly visible, although for my often small lettered handwriting, I could go for more narrow rule, but since I got them so I could give one to each of my kids to practice cursive handwriting, the wide rule is just right for that purpose. The cover is said to be sturdy, and sure, it isn't flimsy or falling apart, but it is very thin and soft, so a hard cover book is needed to provide firm surface to write on if writing on a lap (or any place other than desk or table), which is what I like to do while taking notes when listening to documentaries, podcasts and such. On the flip side, since cover is so soft, it's easy to fold it over completely along with used up pages, and this is also helped by small number of sheets (15 sheets total, stitched in the middle and folded, making up 60 pages), so it's easy to write without needing notebook to be spread open. Another neat feature, besides rainbow colored spines, is the plain covers in cardboard brown without anything at all printed on them, so that each notebook can be adorned with stickers, drawings or stamped shapes, even collages, and personalized and labeled as one sees fit. The paper is pretty good too. It will take all kinds of pens and pencils, but markers and highlighters will bleed through. That's stated in description and my test has confirmed it, although some markers would bleed very little on the other side of the page, but some others, like Sharpie, will bleed onto the next page. So I will just use colored pencils for underlining or highlighting, and/or gel pens to add some interest and color.

These are very nice and exactly what they’re described to be. The materials feel solid, the pages are clean and usable, they're lightweight, and there’s nothing about them that feels flimsy or poorly made. They’ve held up fine with regular use so far. They're a nice size for a young child, easy for them to use and carry. We are using them for writing practice right now and they're great for that. I especially like the colorful spines. It makes it easy to assign them to different purposes and tell them apart at a glance, which is more useful than I expected. They’ve also been handy for homeschooling, it’s easy to keep subjects separate and organized without having to label everything heavily.

great notebooks for all ages
I like this set, it arrived with different colors for the binding but the front and back are all brown, which I like. I have gone through 3 of these composition books already, my son has appropriated several. They are like other notebooks on the inside, but my son actually reaches for these than other notebooks we have when he is doing his school work. I feel like these are a nice quality and have lasted my son a long time, they usually show wear after a few days. The size is 7.5 in by 9.5in and honestly, if I had not seen the size I would have thought they were bigger. These are a great way to keep notes organized and even color coded.
