Easy use; take care when only one hand is free
In my video provided, there is just under 1 lb of roasted chicory root granules (coffee alternative), to demonstrate how secure the lid is when you're having to potentially lift and reposition it for you to use its contents. I also provided a little stopwatch clip showing how long it takes. The first one it wasn't all that secured to start with, and it kind of surprised me. However the second round, I made sure the lid was down nice and secure as far as it can go before lifting it, and the lid held on much longer. I think this short stretch of time, second time round, is more than feasible to help you lift the canister to position it closer to you in the case it might have been behind something. I think it is quite sturdy, however don't push your luck considering it is glass. Do your best to not let it fall from too high of a height. Also the lid does eventually come off simply under the weight of the container combined with simply trying to tip the lid to one side using only one hand. So as long as you are not in a rush, you are more than capable of removing the lid with only one hand (like what might happen if you have a phone in the other or you're holding your baby in the other arm). I don't know what the plastic content is inside of the sealing ring (many silicone things have had tests showing trace amounts of plastic), never mind what the composition is of any sort of preservatives or finishes used in the lid given it was made from bamboo which can at times get treated the same as wood for preservation. I love the floral design and how dark contents within offer a very lovely contrast.

Perfect for home sourdough lovers and more
I purchased this 24 oz airtight glass jar with a bamboo lid specifically to house my sourdough starter—and it’s been perfect. The glass is thick and feels substantial, which gives me confidence that it’ll hold up well with daily use. It’s just the right size: roomy enough for my starter to breathe and grow, but compact enough not to hog counter space. The airtight seal is a game-changer, keeping everything fresh and safe from outside moisture or contaminants. Bonus points for the design—it has a vintage charm with delicate floral etching that makes it feel more like kitchen décor than a typical storage container. The bamboo lid adds an earthy touch and fits snugly. Whether you’re a sourdough enthusiast or just need a stylish way to store dry goods, this jar is a gem. I’ll be getting more for flour, sugar, and maybe even tea!

Love These
I love love love these jars. I got them for rice and pastas to help keep my cupboards feel more organized and that I don't have bags laying around in them. The designs are beautiful and do not interfere with what is inside. I like how thick the glass is, though I would still be careful about dropping them. The lids are a nice wood and keep an air tight seal around what I have inside keeping it safe and fresh longer. I want to get more of different sizes and improve my kitchen organization. They help me feel a little more dainty and feminine in the masculine feel of our modern kitchen.

Beautiful Glass Containers
I really like these glass jars! I purchased them for my legumes. Turns out 16oz barely fit, but they do fit! The decorative glass is pretty and well make a nice display in my pantry. They do stack but do not lock in place, so beware. Other reviews states issues with the wood lids staying closed and the wood being brittle. I don’t have either issue. But will treat them with a little olive oil to prevent the later. I do recommend and I’ll probably buy the larger ones too!
