Wonderful Set of Multiuse Brushes for Hobbyists or Beginners Explorering Painting
The GETLMUL 26-Piece Nylon Paint Brush Set with Zipper-Sealed Case is a wonderful set for a hobbyist painter and even better for a novice exploring various types of painting. I’m very impressed with the variety, quality, and quantity of brushes for its modest under $30 price. GETLMUL didn’t skimp on quality to achieve the excellent price point. The brushes are well built with real wood handles. The brush handles are long and nicely balanced. They feel comfortable balanced on the fingers. The finish on the handles is smooth with no splinters, no nicks, no rough spots. The finish will protect the wood from water or solvents used when cleaning the brushes. The handle ends at a double crimped, copper alloy ferrule. The double crimping will hold the bristles securely to the wooden handle. The copper alloy is not likely to rust or corrode. The bristles are held securely by this ferrule. I rubbed my fingers together holding the bristles of several of the brushes and no bristles fell out. The bristles of all of these brushes are a medium soft nylon. Nylon works for gouache, water colors, water soluble crayons and pastels, thinned acrylics, oil paints, and water based latex paints. Most water based paints work well with nylon brushes. The nylon brush tips can be cleaned with a gentle soap, like Dawn, and water. In the case of oil paints a solvent is used for cleaning the brush. This set is impressive in that it offers nine shapes of brushes. It also includes a guide that tells the name of each shape. Using both words and illustrations the guide shows how each shape of brush is commonly used. For the two shapes used the most, the Flat and the Filbert, there are several sizes (numbered by size) of each. The smaller brush tips come with a plastic sleeve to protect the delicate tips. The nylon brushes are well shaped. The nylon brushes will hold their shape well through many sessions of painting and cleaning. There are instructions that tell how to clean and care for the brushes. After cleaning, paint brushes should be stored flat to dry or dried with the bristle end up. Never dry with the brush side down as that distorts the bristles. The clever case for storing the brushes opens up to hold the brushes standing upright. The cleaned brushes can be stored in the open case. I prefer this to a glass jar. Often when wet cleaned brushes are stored in a jar water collects in the bottom of the jar and can ruin the end of the wooden handles. This set comes with a round sponge that I use to wipe my brushes while painting and to also asa place to do a test stroke to see the actual paint color before I put the brush to paper. There is also a metal palette knife aka painting knife in this set. A palette knife comes in handy when painting with acrylics or oil paints for mixing paints, scraping paint, or applying paint to the canvas. This painting knife has an angled handle so the painter can apply paint to a canvas without dragging his/her knuckles through the paint. I very much like the case with this set. It zippers shut to 10.6” x 8” x 1.7” thick - small enough to go into a shoulder tote or backpack. It has a loop for hanging the zipped case. The case opens up and cleverly folds and stays in place via handy straps with snaps to turn the case into a brush holder. The brushes stay easily viewed and accessible while painting. The case is a woven canvas fabric. The area where the bristles sit is lined with plastic. There is a compartment for each brush and the palette knife. I highly recommend this for someone interested in in learning to pant or a hobby artist that wants a greater selection of brushes at an affordable price. My daughter and I have enjoyed using this set and look forward to using it while we paint together this summer and beyond.

Great gift for a new painter
This is a really nice set of paint brushes. They smelled strongly of solvent when they arrived but it goes away and I believe washing the bristles of the brushes helped alleviate it. It is recommended that you soak the bristles in warm water for 3 to 5 minutes before the first use anyway. I like the handles on these brushes because they are nice wood and not too long. You get 26 pieces in this set; 2 wide flats, 6 smaller flats, 7 filbert, 1 rigger, 3 round a palette knife, 2 fan brushes, 1 dagger, one cat’s tongue, two angle brushes, an absorbent sponge and the case which sets up like an easel so you don’t have to worry about dragging your brushes across the fabric all the time. There is also a plastic liner at the top where the bristles will rest. They shouldn’t be allowed to dry in the case but if you’re away from your art area with them they can go in the case until you arrive home and can take them out to dry. Remember to always dry your brushes either straight or hanging bristles down. If you allow them to dry with the bristle facing up it can cause separation in your ferrules which leads to your brushes coming apart. I tried these with watercolor paints and while the are fine for watercolors I prefer my watercolor brushes to be a bit longer and a bit more absorbent. I’m also partial to a longer rigger brush. My preference aside this would make a terrific first set for someone just getting in to painting. The case is especially nice in the event that you give them as a gift because they will stay together and can be taken outside or on trips easily. I am likely going to keep mine for a travel set and maybe add a longer rigger brush.

Complete and Organized Set – Great for On-the-Go Painting
This 26-piece nylon paint brush set offers an excellent variety of brush shapes and sizes, making it a highly versatile choice for someone just starting out or a hobbyist looking to expand their collection. From fine detail brushes to larger flats, it covers almost any stroke needed for acrylics, watercolors, or oils. The standout feature of this set is definitely the presentation and storage. The zippered case is sturdy, well-constructed, and keeps everything securely in place. Inside, each brush has its own independent compartment, which prevents the bristles from getting squished, bent, or damaged during transport. An unexpected highlight is the foldable stand design. The case easily props up, allowing you to view and grab the exact brush you need while working without cluttering your workspace. It's incredibly convenient for painting on location or keeping a tidy desk. The synthetic nylon bristles are decent—they hold shape relatively well and offer a smooth application, though a couple of the finer brushes had a few stray hairs right out of the package. However, after a quick rinse and shape, they performed just fine. The handles feel comfortable in the hand and have a nice balance. Overall, it's a wonderfully organized, comprehensive kit that would make a great gift or a solid addition to a portable art setup. **Pros:** * Excellent variety of brush types and sizes. * High-quality zippered case with individual slots to protect bristles. * Built-in foldable stand function is perfect for keeping an organized workspace. * Great portability for travel or classes. **Cons:** * A few stray bristles on arrival, but easily fixed.

Great set for beginners trying different mediums!
This set is a pretty great starter set for any artist. I am by no means a professional but I do dabble in mainly watercolor, however I have been wanting to try my hand at acrylics. This set is perfect to start out with or for a dabbler such as myself! I am excited to use this 26 piece brush set. The nylon bristle brushes have the look and feel like of a decent quality set which should be pretty durable to last. The foldable storage case will be perfect for taking on vacation or just out for a day to paint somewhere new! I love that it folds into a stand to use while painting- this is a great feature, especially for on the go users! Even though you don’t want to store the brushes upright to dry long term, it’s such a convenient feature for when you’re away from home. My son is taking a new art class in college and this will be a great set to share with him that he can take back and forth to class as needed. The one downside is that the brushes smell very strongly of chemicals it of the package. I am really hoping that once they are washed and dried the scent will diminish. Overall a great value for a very versatile set of brushes with the convenience of a foldable abd portable case!
