Comfortable Heated Massage Cushion with Relaxing Lumbar Massage
I work from home at a desk for much of the day, which aggravates the arthritis in my lower back and leaves me sore. I chose this heated massage cushion hoping it would help, and I've used it both in my home office chair while working and on our family room sofa while watching TV. The cushion offers several massage functions along with a mild fixed-heat setting: • Percussion (Tapotement): A rhythmic series of soft, padded punches. • Hacking: Rapid alternating taps similar to the side-of-hand motions used during a Swedish massage. • Lumbar Traction: A slow push into the lower back that creates a gentle stretching sensation. Auto mode cycles through all of the massage functions, while Manual mode lets you choose individual functions, including heat by itself. My only wish is that the gentle hacking vibration could also be selected independently instead of always being paired with the stronger percussion mode. The buttons are responsive and easy to reach, and the heat stayed comfortably warm without becoming too hot. In my home office chair, the cushion was comfortable against my back and didn't push me too far forward, so I could continue typing normally. The lumbar support feels good, and the 30-minute auto shutoff has become a useful reminder to stand up and move around. On the sofa, it stayed in place well and provided the same relaxing massage experience. The massage itself is genuinely relaxing, but the internal motors are fairly loud. As my spouse put it, it sounds a bit like a whoopee cushion that's working overtime! I found myself turning up the TV volume while using it. I also wouldn't recommend using it in an open office or during conference calls if your microphone is likely to pick up the background noise. This is a corded massager rather than a rechargeable model. It includes a USB-A to USB-C cable that's just under five feet long plus an AC adapter. I ended up using a longer USB cable for my setup, and it worked without issue. The fabric is soft, the foam is comfortably supportive, and the stitching appears neat and well done. It’s 23 inches wide and 11 inches tall and fits in most all desk chairs or recliners no problem....it is shaped to support the lumbar of your lower back perfect.
