Works as expected. If my mug has a rim on the bottom, it requires higher heat. With a flat bottom, I use a lower temperature. As the level of coffee lowers, I lower the temperature, otherwise coffee tastes burnt. I like that the indicator light around the edge can be set to pulse or as a steady light. Based on other reviews about the mug warmer getting so hot it damages the surface it's on, I unplug it after every use.

Gave these at Christmas to my father and boyfriend's dad who are big coffee and tea drinkers. They both love them and say they work great! It will heat up your room temp mug in a few minutes. It's a pretty cool invention.

I love it. So glad I got it. It keeps my coffee hot. On high, the bottom of the cup gets hot too, but I don't care. I hold it by the handle.
