Medical situations' in our home create uncomfortable odours. Using sprays is offensive and other things have not worked for more than a few minutes. We were a little hesitant in getting this because of our sensitivities to many things. Just opening the box released some of the candle scent but it was actually quite nice. It didn't bother anyone so we removed the lid and this incredibly beautiful aroma wafted out. Still no one was bothered. Following the 'first burn' instructions of lighting for 2 hours ( to create a level wax pool for successful future lighting) we did find the scent a bit over whelming. During the 2 hours our 1000 square foot unit was completely filled with the heady Sweet Orange Bergamot scent. The fact that not one of us had a negative reaction to this was almost shocking. ( Believe me when I tell you how poorly we've reacted to some other scent candles; which is why we were hesitant to try this in the first place.) After initial 2 hour burn and cool down period, there is a maximum burning time of 4 hours with a wait time of 2 hours before using again. The jar for the candle is a beautiful amber colour; semi translucent so you can see how far down the candle has burned from the outside. It didn't get overly hot while the candle was burning. With the label only on the front of the jar it affords the option of a subtle/casual piece of decor by simply turning the amber glass with the gold rim of the lid facing outward Having a lid to seal the jar when not in use protects the candle from dust and possible damage. After the initial 2 hour burn plus cool down time there is a maximum burning time of 4 hours with a wait time of 2 hours before using again. Common sense instructions are in clear bullet point on the bottom of the jar. A lot of people don't pay attention to information and/or instructions included when purchasing candles. Many of our friends stopped using candles because they didn't 'work right' for them. Some gave no value to an enclosed card with the crafter's story or a simple thank you. All of us here appreciate that Aredenua presents their product in a way reminiscent of the local crafters from decades ago. We know it will sound silly to some but this entire experience encourages us to purchase more product from Aredenua.

Very minty, smells a bit like menthol
This comes in a very nice box. The jar is high quality with a nice top. This would make a nice gift The scent of this candle is strong, even when not lit. It is a very fresh smelling mint scent. Like vapor rub you put on your chest when sick. This overpowers bad smells, like wet dog, in your space. I do not think anything special is happening to eliminate odor from a chemical reaction standpoint, but maybe I am wrong If you want a premium looking candle, complete with fancy box and strong scent, you will be pleased. UPDATE: Just a note that I also received the "Clean Cotton" version of this candle. The same comment for the Mint version apply to this one, except that I do not like the "Clean Cotton" scent. It smells like Tide or other laundry soap. Not my thing, but others might like it

J’ai eu un coup de cœur pour cette chandelle. Après une journée de préparation de repas pour la semaine . Ils y avaient plusieurs odeurs mélangées. J’ai sorti cette chandelle est mis sous la lampe chauffe chandelle à intensité médium pour 2 hrs . Et la maison sentait agréablement les agrumes sans que l’odeur soit agressive.

Strong candle
My husband smokes in his mancave. This candle is strong and it overpowers the cigar smoke. It looks cute. I have it on a candle warmer so it will last long. The smell is still strong after many uses. The price was great for 4 candles. It's not a relaxing smell but it does smell good. It's string and lasts.
