These adorable Gingerbread boxes can be a creative craft project for young & old!
Very sturdy and well made precut boxes, and they fold together in a jiffy. The synthetic cords have nicely finished “shoestring” type ends that thread right through the prepunched holes and lock securely in place, so no worries about knotting or fiddling with trying to attach the braided cord handles after your house is decorated. The entire process of building the boxes and attaching cords takes just a few minutes. They’re the perfect size to fill with candies or cash, but they can also be turned into adorable holiday keepsake ornaments. I think making gingerbread house ornaments will be a fun activity with the kids at our family gatherings this Thanksgiving or Christmas Eve. Anyone who wants to participate will enjoy having several different shapes and sizes to choose from. The real fun will be expressing our individual creativity as we decorate our miniature gingerbread cottages, cabins, chalets, and houses! These cardstock “gingerbread” houses are strong and sturdy enough to be decorated with crayons, paint pens, chalk markers, decorative stickers… or can handle more advanced embellishments, such as needle embroidery, as well as, school glue, glue sticks, or hot glue to attach tissue paper “snow”, rick-rack ribbon, buttons, paper/felt cutouts, and lots of GLITTER! The decorating possibilities are endless! For our quick review samples, we played around with chalk markers, then used sharp cuticle scissors to cut out cabin windows.
