The large board measures 12" x 15 3/4" , the medium board is 13" x 9 1/2", and the small board with the handle is 10 x 7 1/4", so there are several sizes to choose from, which I appreciate. Each is complete with a juice groove, which helps with the chopping by keeping juices away. Each board is very lightly stamped with a suggestion for its' intended use for meat, cheese, or vegetables. This can help you remember to keep the meat cutting board away from the vegetable cutting board in order to prevent contamination. I found the boards easy to cut on with a sharp chef's knife. The variations in the colors of the solid wood are absolutely gorgeous, and it makes my kitchen look like a well organized high end kitchen.
