Nice Little Weather Station
I needed a weather station with wind speed so I could lower the flag on a flag pole that is LESS than sturdy in very high winds. This is perfect as it shows me the wind speed but also forecasts the weather proves inside and outside temperature and other data. The color screen is especially easy to read and it stands up and doesn't take much space. The receiver does need to be plugged in as it says the batteries are only for backup in case of a power failure. Of course, the sending unit is powered by batteries that will need to be replaced eventually. The only tricky part is to find a place where the sending unit can be mounted to give accurate wind speed readings.

I have owned this AcuRite Weather Station for eight years and have just now changed the batteries in the sensors because in this crazy Wisconsin winter it stopped giving the outside temperature. Changing the batteries and resetting the unit fixed it and it’s still standing strong. I would not hesitate to order this unit or brand again, in fact it’s the only brand I’ll buy in a weather station.

Indoor/outdoor temp and humidity at a glance. Baro pressure spot on. Moon phase. And wind speed. Nice easy to read color display looks nice anywhere. Second one I got - first one outdoor sensor crapped out after a few years in the elements. Only issue is wind speed on both stations WAY off (low). Still a nice piece and relatively inexpensive.

Great product how to recommend it for weather works great. Had it now for about two years works really good batteries last about couple years. The outside unit gives you accurate update wind speed Highly recommend it.
