Helpful guidance and confidence-building tool
"Adulting for College Students: Essential Skills Your Parents Forgot to Teach You" is one of those books that every college student should read before moving out on their own. The author covers all the practical, real-world things that often get overlooked; topics such as budgeting, communication, time management, basic life organization and navigating independence. The information is clearly presented without being overwhelming. I loved how the advice feels relatable and practical and not at all preachy. The book is a smart and helpful read that fills in the life-skills gap that so many students do not realize they have until they move out on their own. Highly recommended!

Great start for any teenager
This book contained so much good information. I have been slowly acclimating my daughter into all the adult-y things that I normal take care of. She is learning about banking and investments and we really like how the book broke out checking vs. savings. Checking = daily wallet Savings = piggy bank We didn't really have to do much in the cooking and baking because these are skills she has already learned but she saw other benefits that can be found in this chapter. This is an excellent reference/teaching book for anybody at any age. Highly recommend that parents take a peak at this book when their kids start middle/high school!

Great graduation gift (plus cash!)
Great know how book, very approachable tone and thorough coverage of a huge range of topics. I like that this book is written as a reference/ resource and doesn’t talk down to the reader. How do you know if no one‘s ever told you? It’s the whole premise for the book, there’s so many good tidbits in here that an older brother/sister or parent that should’ve or could’ve taught you, but if you didn’t have that person in your life or if you did and you weren’t listening, this is a great resource. Would make a cute graduation gift (include some cash too) for someone going away to school.
