Really great for SPD and wiggly insomnia!
My son, turning 16, asked for one of these (and a gaming headset) for his birthday. He has SPD (Sensory Processing Disorder), and hoped it would be as soothing thing as is cracked up to be. Well, funny thing: we bought him one to set back for his birthday and didn't know where we'd hidden it once his birthday rolled around. On the eve of his birthday, we just gave up and bought another. Fortunately, this lined up with some great Black Friday prices, so that second one really want a big deal cost-wise. We found the first the day after the second arrived (of course), but decided to just keep both. So...now I can offer you his take on his and my take on now-mine. We have the twin-sized 15 lb ones. As a side note, both my son and I weigh less than the recommended weight for our blanket weight (we both weigh about 105-110 each). My son... he says he's really happy with his. He reports that it's soothing to sit under when he's chilling in his room and kinda lounging and decompressing after school. He says at night, he finds he goes to sleep a lot faster and thinks he sleeps more soundly. Purple is his favorite color, and the fact that this particular brand offered a nice, medium shade of purple was the draw to these in particular. Me.... mine is exactly like his. I descended we keep the extra because I deal with a lot of insomnia and tossing and turning at night. I always had a real hard time getting comfortable and ot wiggling! I tell ya, this blanket cuts back on A LOT of that. So long as I arrange my legs and body nicely forbthe night before I drape my blanket over myself, wow, my back and legs are ready to shut down for the night and rest comfortably. Something about the gentle compression makes me not even feel them (in a good way!), whereas before, something or another was *always* kicking up a discomfort and urge to move. Now, once the blanket is on, I feel still. I'm not getting any urges to reposition my back, or squirm my leg, or any feelings that my feet or knees or whatever feel all wrong. I feel fine, comfortable, and ready to rest. Like my son, I find I'm able to fall asleep a lot more easily. I was hoping I'd like this thing when we ended up having an extra, but I wasn't expecting to like it THIS MUCH. It's truly great. Highly recommend!

Way better than my old weighted blanket!
I had a 15lb blanket before that was basically just a big bag of loose pellet weights, which made lots of noise every time I'd move. It was very difficult to orient the thing in a way where the weight was evenly distributed across my body. It was twin size though I use a queen mattress, impossible to fold for travel, and I was afraid to machine wash it because the cover was really thin and what if it ripped. Was almost ready to give up on weighted blankets altogether because they're expensive (that mistake cost me $85) and quality seemed a gamble on the ones I find in stores. Thankfully this one is much better made FOR UNDER HALF THE PRICE!! It's stitched all over like a normal decent quality blanket, and the weights inside seem to be stitched into each square, though I won't be ripping it to confirm that haha. If I pick it up the pellets don't sound like they're falling for a long time, and they never leave flat spots, if that makes any sense. One side is more smooth and shiny, and one is more plush with lots of dimples. I use the smoother side against me in warm weather and the plush side when I'm cold, actually surprisingly good for all four seasons in the south this way. It's a much more calming experience to sleep under this than my previous one. From a lifelong insomniac, I thank you for making this so decent and so cheap, reckon I'll end up with some other colors and some as gifts too :) Sorry for the bad lighting in my picture, it's a very pretty blue in person! I hope you can see both textures

Game-Changer for My Sleep and Anxiety!
I honestly don’t know how I ever slept without this weighted blanket. I was a little skeptical at first, but after a few nights, I was completely hooked. It feels like a gentle hug that just melts the stress away. The pressure is perfectly distributed, not too heavy, but enough to make me feel grounded and secure. I’ve always struggled with anxiety and restless sleep, and this blanket has made a massive difference. I fall asleep faster, stay asleep longer, and wake up feeling way more refreshed. It’s also super soft and cozy—I actually look forward to bedtime now. I even started bringing it to the couch during movie nights or when I’m reading. It’s become a part of my wind-down routine, and honestly, it’s one of the best self-care purchases I’ve ever made. If you’re on the fence, do yourself a favor and try one. Total game-changer.

Just what I needed.
This is precisely what I had been searching for. I recently purchased the minky weighted blanket, and it has made all the difference for me. Living with anxiety and ADHD often feels like my mind is in a constant whirlwind, making it incredibly challenging to unwind and relax. However, the gentle, soothing weight of this blanket envelops me in a cocoon of comfort, providing a sense of calm that I never knew I needed. I find myself wondering why it took me so long to embrace the benefits of a weighted blanket. Additionally, I have been thrilled with all the bedside products I’ve acquired. Each item reflects exceptional quality and craftsmanship, and they come at such reasonable prices. I couldn’t be happier with my purchases!
