Good variety pack
I almost managed to finish them all. Rainbow is great at first as you learn to pop, as it seems like the varying kernel types help distribute the heat. But once I got better at cooking popcorn and went back to it, it just felt like a blend and not that special. The colored ones (red, blue, purple, midnight blue) were nuttier tasting. My favorite was the red as it was a bit sweeter than all other kernels. I liked Midnight blue in the beginning because it was especially nutty, but then after a while I can taste it's too nutty with a bit of bitterness. Blue and purple were fine, but not going to seek them out personally. Mushroom puffs well when you cook them properly (much less heat), but rather tasteless once you fully pop them. Similar to extra large caramel type, it puffs up but then it's very bland. Baby and medium white are the basic popcorn taste with a good crunch because they pop well. I found ladyfinger very difficult to pop with my method (without leaving some unpopped or partially popped), but the ones that did pop tasted the same as baby/medium white, just smaller. Maybe you can say it's 'cornier' since you get more hull since they are smaller. Some tips. Too many unpopped kernels has nothing to do with "staleness", cooking popcorn is still cooking, so you need to understand the ingredient. Mushroom is dense/large but low water content, that's why it needed less heat so the water can permeate the kernel entirely before it pops. If the popcorn pops but is still partially hard in the center, lower the heat. Always shake, I think there's no reason to not shake. Shaking helps distribute the heat evenly. If it tastes powdery, lower the heat again. I think that's uncooked starch inside the kernel. Firmer hulls like the colored ones need higher heat. Baby and medium white medium high heat. Mushroom medium or even medium low heat, definitely need shaking. I think red probably tastes the best to me, but baby and/or medium white is easier to pop and tastes fine. The colored ones are picky about their temp, midnight blue needed the highest heat. On my stove, that was an 8. Red 7.25, blue, purple were like 7.5 or 7.25 or something. Baby white 6.5 and medium 6.25. Mushroom was 6 or maybe slightly lower. Extra large caramel 5.5. My best result with ladyfinger was at 5, it is possible they work on very high heat (7+) instead but I unfortunately ran out and don't think they are worth the trouble for me.

Perfect gift for popcorn lovers!
My boyfriend and I ordered this for ourselves because we were curious about the different varieties of popcorn as we only grew up knowing about just white and yellow popcorn. We got this to try different varieties and see which ones we like best. So far our favorites have been the purple (flavor and less hull content), red (super crunchy texture and less hulls), mushroom (popcorn size and crunchy texture) and ladyfinger (they are the tiniest popcorn kernels you've ever seen, popcorn is tender and fluffy, and less hulls). We've tried 6 out of 10 varieties so far. We loved it so much, we bought a second set as a gift for my boyfriend's mother for her birthday as well as a microwave popcorn popper bowl. It really is a great gift for popcorn lovers!

Organic & non GMO, Taste great.
I started using an air popper to eat healthier. This popcorn pops so well with hardly any kernels unpopped. It has great flavor as well. Just love the mini kernels be cause I am older and it doesn’t get stuck in your teeth. Love that it’s organic and non GMO.

Good popcor
It has been very interesting to try all ten varieties. So far, the mushroom is the top of our list, but we also like the red and purple, neither of which has a lot of hulls.
