I’ve had this for a few weeks now. I use it every day and for hours. I bought this because I accidentally broke my precious 65” TV and I do not have new smart TV money. So this alternative had to work. Thank goodness it did! I replaced my regular TV with a projector and I do not regret it one bit. You can easily replace your TV with this one because of Roku’s format. I’m familiar with Roku so there was nothing to learn on setup. It’s Roku TV as a projector. It’s also better for your eyes, which is good if you have chronic eye strain. It’s naturally better because you’re not looking at a light box but instead projected light. The clarity was better than expected. If you’re going to use a projector as often as a TV, you will benefit more by investing in a quality projector screen instead of a bedsheet or a TEMU knock off. Regular smart TV’s are expensive and this alleviates that struggle. Speaking of, if you don’t have them already, get some good speakers because the sound quality on this just won’t do. It’s a small device, how much sound quality can you expect it to have? Anyway, get some good speakers to enjoy movie nights and regular viewing. It’s super easy to set up too. You won’t effort from setting it up. Lastly, the compromises: it’s not great during the day in a room with abundant natural light. Projected light will strain under external light in its path. I put my screen by a window curtain that I do not open. It’s helps but eh. Doesn’t stop me most days though. The engine is slightly loud at times but it’s one of those sounds you only notice when you turn it off. Sometimes it runs hot but a TV runs hotter and a lot is being asked of it anyway. I may try putting it on a cooling pad. If you’ve read this, just get the thing lol. For its price, oh yeah. My smart tv is no more but I did not suffer because even after the total cost of a projector, new speakers, a projector stand, and a projector screen, I still spent less than HALF of the cost of a fragile smart tv that will break the moment you accidentally throw your remote at it. It’s a great price and it’s worth it. Very last thing: I got a 100 inch projector screen. Imagine that upgrade from a 65” TV. It’s lovey lol

Great projector for great price

To start, I recently bought the Aurzen D1R Cube and want to compare this new Roku projector to it. Overall, I prefer this new projector to the Cube. Here’s what I like and don’t like about this projector compared to the Cube. Likes: First, being a Roku user, I’m happy this projector allows me to access all my Roku apps. Setting the projector up and signing into Roku was a breeze (as it was on the Cube too). I also appreciate that the projector is not as “bulky” as the Cube, and is a standard “horizontal” projector versus the “vertical” style of the cube. This makes the projector more stable on my stand. And, I think the sound on this projector is better than the sound on the Cube even though this projector only has 5W speakers compared to the 10W speakers on the Cube. I think it’s because the speakers are on the back of the projector, and pointed towards me when using it, as opposed to the Cube that has the speakers on the sides. Having Apple AirPlay is a huge plus as well. Dislikes: My main complaint about this projector is that is not quite as bright as the Cube (280 lumens versus 330 lumens on the Cube). It’s still not ideal for outdoor viewing until it’s completely dark outside. My hope is that Aurzen continues to make Roku projectors and will make a true outdoors projector that can be used during the daylight hours. It was also advertised as having 3 levels of brightness (low, medium, and high) for different environments. However, I haven’t found any option to change the brightness level in the projector settings (only if I go into Roku settings). Overall, I think this is a great projector for someone wanting a cinematic experience for a great price. I highly recommend it for indoor movie nights, or even watch parties for the big game. I really like my D1R Cube, but this projector is going to be my go-to projector moving forward.

Awesome quality buy it !

I absolutely love this projector ! It’s exactly like a ROKU TV the picture and quality of the projector is amazing and you need absolutely nothing other then 2 triple AA batteries and home WiFi ! take it out of the box plug in the power cord and put in the batteries in the Roku remote and set up your ROKU account or if you already have a ROKU account sign in and position it where you want it I have it sitting on my window sill until I get it mounted on a floating shelf my preference. I have it to enjoy watching my favorite shows and movies entertainment other uses can be for painting which I had no idea until someone else shared with me they use a projector for painting. The sound that comes from the projector is good quality I don’t even need to connect a sound bar or other speaker I’m satisfied with the original sound the quality of the projector in daytime works for me it may not be as bright versus when in a darker room but I’m okay with that you don’t need an adapter or any other equipment easy straight out the box ready to use . I shared perfect images while using in a dark room , slightly dark room and in sunlight I use it throughout the entire day works perfectly and really makes my shows so much more enjoyable LOVE this . I’m so glad I didn’t buy the one on tik tok for 40$that I heard the remote was crap and stopped working and other things reading the reviews and spent the 123$ to get this ONE with a great working quality Roku remote you know those things are solid and hard to break unless a dog gets to it but even than may still work . If your looking for a projector and doubting just do yourself a favor and buy it you won’t return it , it’s a must have for me moving forward.

Buy it!!

Wow! This thing is amazing!! Our son with autism broke our tv (not the first one 🙄) and i got tired of shelling out hundreds of hundreds of dollars for a new tv. My husband recommended getting a projector and i was totally against it! I thought the picture would be terrible and sound would be terrible. I went on amazon looking for a new tv and some projectors started showing as i was scrolling. Most had some pretty decent reviews so i decided to give this projector thing a shot after thinking about it. I have to say what really got me to try one out was the fact that when not in use i can easily put it back in the box and put it away so it wouldn’t get broken. I also like the fact that it portable so during the summer we can get a projector screen and watch it in the yard with a bonfire in the pool. Kids would love it! So after doing research and reading reviews i decided to give this Roku projector a try with reviews being pretty good. I am blown away by this little machine!! I love how easy it was to setup and how absolutely amazing and clear the picture is. The sounds is phenomenal too. It has auto focus but What i really love is how easy it is to adjust the picture size so that you can truly watch it anywhere. You guys have to buy this!! I promise you won’t be disappointed. Great price too, much cheaper than a new tv :)
