Great for travel but not for airlines 'personal item'
What a terrific backpack! It just completed its maiden voyage: a 2+ week vacation in Europe. It is very lightweight, has tons of pockets and separated areas, and held up well to being shoved under airline seats. My goal was to pack everything I needed into a carry-on hard sided suitcase and this backpack, and not deal with a humongous checked bag that might not make it to my scheduled stops (yes, this happened the last time I travelled overseas). I almost made it, but discovered my husband still had extra room in his big checked suitcase so I ended up adding a few items.... Overall it worked well. But although this fully packed bag can be maneuvered into the space under the seat, it takes up the entire space. Not so great for an 8 hour flight sitting in the economy section of a plane. My poor legs and feet were screaming at me by the end of that flight. I packed the items I might need during the flights in separate little pouches that I placed at the top, and removed them as soon as I sat down. I also purchased and packed an 'airplane tray table cover with pockets' that worked very well to keep those items handy. I also found it very difficult to get the bag out of it's cramped quarters when the airplane landed and others were still seated in my row, as there wasn't enough room to pull maneuver it around my own legs (and I'm a very average 5'4" 60-something woman). So although I love my new backpack I don't think I will be using it as my 'personal item' on future flights. I will find something smaller.

PERFECT travel backpack
I made several purchases for our trip to the Philippines, but this backpack, was by far the best purchase I made! The size was perfect for the short trips we took island hopping with ample room for additional shoes (separate compartment- for cleanliness). Easy to access pockets, a “wet pocket” and very comfortable to wear while fully packed. Perfect amount of pockets to keep items organized, but not too many that I would be searching for items. Size fits perfectly either under the seat in front or overhead even on smaller planes. I will definitely be reaching for this backpack my next trip and may even order additional colors.

Very Comfortable and Practical Backpack
This backpack is very comfortable and practical. It’s waterproof, which is a huge plus. The color is great and looks very nice. I especially like the separate shoe compartment — that’s such a smart feature and really adds to the quality of the backpack. It’s comfortable to wear, doesn’t slip off the shoulders, and the size is just perfect — roomy but not too bulky. I’m very happy with this purchase. It’s truly a great buy!

Perfect travel combo
I bought this for an out of country trip and it was worth every penny. I like that the bag matches the backpack and can fit in the front top zippered area for easy storage and removal while in the airport. It’s comfortable to wear even while full. I will absolutely buy another in the future if something ever happens to this one.
