Description
- SOOTHING COMFORT: A weighted blanket provides gentle, comforting pressure that can help to reduce tossing and turning, making it easier to fall and stay asleep. Made with all-natural materials such as cotton fabric and irritant-free filling, it is gentle on the skin and will not irritate those with sensitivities. And beyond its practical uses, a weighted blanket also works as a calming tool for people, helping to soothe them like a gentle hug. - HOW TO CHOOSE: The weight of the blanket should be about 10% of your body weight. For example, a 150 lb adult would use a 15 lb weighted blanket, and a 65 lb child would use a 7 lb weighted blanket. The blanket should be no longer in size than the top of your mattress and should not hang over the sides of your bed. Please reference our chart to determine which blanket is right for you. - UNIQUE DESIGN: The structure of Bare Home Weighted Blanket is designed with reinforced stitching to prevent beads from shifting or leaking while you are sleeping. Smaller pockets allow for even distribution of weight over the surface of the body. Our blanket features corner loops that can be used to secure a Weighted Blanket Duvet Cover with corner ties. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Certified free from harmful chemicals and dyes. Label ID: BJ025 166985 - CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Machine wash in cold water on gentle cycle. Hand wash or dry clean if needed. Hang dry or air dry. Pair with a Bare Home duvet cover or weighted blanket cover in the appropriate size to protect your weighted blanket and reduce cleaning time. - REST ASSURED: We take every measure to ensure that our products are of the highest quality. Sleep on them for 30 nights. If you are still not satisfied, contact our live customer service team and we'll make it right.

Soft, even weight distribution, beautiful color
I've had this on my bed for only a few short hours and I'm already in love. This is my 4th weighted blanket. My first was a small one by Y N M that my mom passed down to me. It was funky and lumpy and small, but I bought another one from them (bigger) and gave them a chance. I couldn't sleep without it. Eventually, the beads shifted, similar to the first, and I bought their newer, smaller square version, which I thought would provide that hug you get from a good weighted blanket. Only, that new one, while the same size, felt smaller and left the hug lacking and the cold creeping in as I struggled to stay covered by it. I saved a bunch of other brands in a list and went back frequently, becoming more and more indecisive as I struggled with what brand to try next. This one kept tugging at me. I chose to get the minky version, which in Florida might not be so great of an option in the summer, but after one short night I'm convinced this is the one. The pockets are larger than I'm used to and the beads aren't as pronounced, but the weight distribution seems to dispersed evenly with good padding within. I don't know how well it will hold after a wash, but time will tell. I chose to go bigger with the 80x87 and im glad I did. I don't want to share, but I surely could at this size. A 60x80 was great for just me, but even then it was a snug fit. I'm so used to bamboo and it's cooling properties. If the polyester/mink becomes too hot in the FL summer I will probably give the regular version a try. Im so in love with the eggplant color which I've yet to find offered elsewhere. I'll update this after I've had the chance to try this one when the FL heat rears it's head again.

This weighted blanket is SOFT & AMAZING!!!
UPDATE: THIS WEIGHTED BLANKET WASHED BEAUTIFULLY & EVERYTHING STAYED WHERE IT WAS SUPPOSED TO AFA THE GLASS BEADS!! STILL 5-STARS ALL THE WAY!! My son had been wanting to try a fairly heavy 18-25 lb) weighted blanket. So, the hunt was on. I had two primary concerns: 1). The outer material, itβs softness & how it felt against his skin (both of my kids are very tactile!). 2). The inner weighted material was also a consideration as I preferred glass beads on the inside and smaller sectioned pockets where they are placed. This makes for an even distribution of the beads, therefore: the weight. β’β’THIS BLANKET FIT MY CRITERIA PLUS, IT HAD GREAT REVIEWS!! It looks very nice on his bed and has no off-putting smell. One small drawback; Itβs very heavy so I must take it to a laundromat and use a 4-6 load washing machine just to launder it, strictly due to its weight, esp when itβs wet!! It gets heavy enough that it would likely go off balance or overload even the best non-commercial front / top loaders at home. But, I knew this prior to my purchase. **I will edit this review AFTER washing/drying the weighted blanket to let everyone know how it held up throughout the laundering process.** ICYMI: BC ITS WORTH REPEATING:: ALL OF MY REVIEWS ARE FROM MY VERIFIED ACCT AND I PAY FULL PRICE FOR MY PURCHASES, LIKE EVERY OTHER AMAZON SHOPPER! Perfect and easy to wash
I just bought 2 more of these! Great weight distribution, super comfortble, attractive colors, and washes well. I wash everything before I use it, so in it went, cold gentle cycle with detergent and a dash of vinegar to set the color so it never runs or fades (important). It would take forever to hang dry and is too heavy to hang anyway so I popped it into the dryer with 2 dry bath towels. The blanket was perfectly dry in half an hour and my kid sleeping under it just 2 hours later. It was like magic watching this weighted blanket so gently confine, and then settle my wiggly ADHD child with restless legs. That's the 10lb 40x60 green blanket. I love it, so the next day I got the velvety soft blue for my other kid (it's gorgeous but might be too warm for some people, I suspect), and a 12lb 48x72 for myself. I chose not to get a queen because it is heavy, and I think a larger one would be awkward and cumbersome to position or adjust at night. Besides, I'm single. If I weren't, I'd still consider 2 twins instead of a queen, personally. None of my family have been sleeping well lately but I look forward to some good rest tonight! As for choosing weight, I'd have definitely gone heavier years ago when my anxiety was super intense. For me now, the 12 lb twin blanket feels like I'm free to move but with resistance and it feels right. I'm a somewhat petite female. I had a great snuggle under it to try it out, and now it's happily whirring in the washer.

The blanket I can't sleep without!
I'm gonna give this blanket the whole 5 stars. I have had it for a week or two and i have no complaints. The fabric is both very soft and comfortable on the skin. It's a lot thinner then i expected it to be but that is not an issue. The pockets are spaced very well and the weight distribution across the blanket is even. I did a shake test to see how much the beads moved and i had to really shake it to even notice they moved, and you really cant tell unless your trying to find the beads, which are quite small. I purchased the king size 30lb blanket and it is pretty heavy, so much so that it can be hard to adjust the blanket if it needs moved around in the night. This is not a problem for me as I don't move around much when I sleep. I also have pets, and my cats love to sleep on it when I'm not using it, and sometimes when I am using it! It's worth noting that pet hair doesn't seem to stick to it which is yet another positive. For the price, this blanket has MORE then exceeded my expectations! The blanket looks good, feels good, and I've gotten the best sleep I can remember with it. I was late to work this morning because i accidentally slept through my alarm and I think the blanket is to blame!
