I am older so I try to optimize my health by being consistent when it comes to checking my blood pressure. I like portable blood pressure machines, but the one I have is very old so it is time to change. MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE PRODUCT 1. This comes with a blood pressure machine, a standard-sized cuff, 4 AA batteries, and a cord to be used if you do not want to use batteries. 2. It is very lightweight. I really appreciate the weight. It seems quite sturdy. The cuff is okay. It is a bit thin than what I normally use but, it has no problems inflating. 3. The main issue is the setting up process. I found the instructional packet to be very small. I cannot read the instructions. I need a magnifying glass. This BP machine is geared toward seniors, yet the user experience of setting it up does not take into consideration that some older adults have a difficult time setting devices up. I definitely think that they could have made it easier for seniors, because there are only 2 buttons to set up the date and time and language. There are a lot of clicking between the 2 buttons. I am okay with it, but some will find it frustrating especially if you get one who is speaking in German out of the box. 4. I finally got it to change languages and then the voice told me in English to "don't move and be quiet." I chuckled because there is a bit of a tone. One of these days I will wake up on the wrong side of the bed and this lady telling me to be quiet is gonna make my numbers wonky. 5. This comes with a hard box to store the BP machine and cuff. I really appreciate this because it fits the cuff also. 6. I tried using a different blood pressure machine at the same time on the other arm and they are pretty close to each other. The systolic, diastolic, and the pulse rate. It functions very well and very easy to operate after the initial setup. 7. I believe this can log BP for trends from 2 different users, which is useful. However, I typically just write it down on a notebook because it is much easier in case I need to bring the BP log with me to see my primary. OVERALL IMPRESSION: I do really like this blood pressure machine. I think that it is cost-effective, worth its value, and calibrated very nicely. The only thing is that this could be difficult for some older adults to set up. Of note, this says the cuff is large. I really think that it is a standard-sized cuff. This will not fit bariatric people's arms. It is too small. It is large in that it is not a pediatric-sized cuff.
