Bose has done it again
These Bose surrounds are incredible. I have been an audiophile since the 80's I set up an early 5.0 speaker surround system in the late 70's. There was no subwoofer at that time but the 5 channels sounded fantastic. This was around the time that tv channels started to broadcast in stereo. My first movie I watched was 2001 A Space Odyssey and I was hooked. Over the years I have built many systems from various different receivers and speakers and subs. About 5 years ago I wanted to make that leap from big receivers and speakers and subs to sounders. I had different ones, Hissence, Polk, and even went the full range and got the Sonos Arc, Era 300's, and the sub mini for my theater room. The Sonos system was good but it had a few issues, some audio dropouts, clicking noises with the Era 300's and the worst was the harsh and rough dialog. I could only understand half of the dialog. I tried all of the voice enhancers and unplugging and replugging, resetting the app. Nothing worked. Then I researched Bose. I always heard that they were very high quality and exceptional. So I decided to pick up the Bose 600 Soundbar. I got a small sale on it and I it included TRUE Dolby Atmos. I moved the Sonos Soundbar into my bedroom and it sounds great in there by itself. Then I hooked up the Bose 600. No fuss no muss. Plug it in, HDMI from Earc on tv to Earth on the Soundbar. Download the app and everything connected within 5 minutes. But when I put on my favorite series, which I always had to use captioning, WOWWW. With the built in True Space technology and voice clarity Ai, I was able to understand every word. I couldn't believe it. So I decided to order these surround speakers. I am waiting on the Bose 500 bass module, for now. It took about 20 to do some small wiring and connecting with the Bose app and the surround sound is fantastic. I don't understand where many reviewers are not happy with the volume. You don't want the volume louder than the Soundbar and the surround is just right for me. They are both evenly balanced with good clarity, and totally immersive. I am very happy with Bose. Sorry Sonos. I highly recommend these speakers and hope for many years of home theater enjoyment.

Great for my hearing aids wearing self!
This past December, I decided to splurge on a new TV, soundbar, and rear speakers, as all of mine were 11 years old. I’ve had hearing aids for the past two years (my audiologist says I’m his youngest patient - ugh); my old soundbar didn’t have a dedicated speaker for dialogue, plus the rear speakers I had just made everything louder, not sharper, and I need sharpness to help with the type of hearing loss I have. As a public school teacher, the cost of this entire purchase was a big deal, so I researched the hell out of everything, and I kept coming back to Bose. I bought the black soundbar at Costco, and I wanted white rear speakers since they’d be in front of the white wainscoting. The soundbar itself is fantastic — a huge improvement over what I had before — and the rear speakers are what really bring everything to life, especially when I’m not wearing my hearing aids. I get to hear doctors being paged when watching The Pitt, gunfire in the distance while watching Paradise, birds chirping in Wicked, and so many other noises in other shows and movies that round out the viewing experience. Two important things: 1. You pair the speakers and control their volume through the Bose app. Mine are at 80, and the “height” channel on my soundbar is at 20. You’ll figure out the right ratio for you. 2. I have a very small TV room, and my rear speakers are on the Bose stands (a bit pricey but I kept them anyway) right behind the couch. I can’t speak to what the sound would be like in a much bigger room with these mounted on the wall, but I’m sure they’d be great. I could do that setup with hearing aids in, but they probably wouldn’t help me in a big room if my hearing aids are out.

Adds Awesome Bass
These small surround speakers create awesome bass. I was totally caught off guard when I added Bose II rear speakers to my Bose 600 soundbar and 500 Bass Module, the most noticable difference was enhanced bass. I think it's a sound wave thing. Anyway, I love the room filling sound (medium sized family room) these little speakers produce. Setup was very easy using the Bose Music App. They are a bit pricey, but I got them as a birthday gift; I'm not sure I would have bought them if I had to pay for them. I recommend you purchase them through a military exchange if you qualify because they offer a much better discounted price. I might be a little OCD, but I replaced the black power cords with white ones to match the color of the speakers.

It made me cry happy tears
I have never given a product 5 stars until now. I bought the Soundbar 500 with the bass module and have owned that now for a few years. The sound was good, but not as good as my KEF LS50W2, which is the top HiFi wireless powered speaker. And then I decided to get the satellite speakers. They are not very powerful. They have no bass, only treble. And played on their own, sound terrible. BUT! I placed them behind me as recommended, left and right. And with the soundbar in front. I played hi definition music from Tidal, and my god, I was brought to tears because the sound was so beautiful. For 3 nights in a row now I sit in the perfect spot in my chair and just listening to a song is an emotional, moving experience.
