Worth Every Penny When You Cost It Out Versus Cafe Drinks
So, having lost my Breville Touch to my kid, I decided to upgrade. This beast is AWESOME! Worth every penny of the money saved versus buying cafe’ drinks at $5/day x 365=$1,825.00. Including milk and other necessities, you’ll be at a break-even at about 1-1/2 years after buying it. Pros: Ease of setup, ease of use, auto grind/puck compression feature, the best screen interface in the industry by far, excellent cafe-quality of each of the multitude of coffee drinks, great selection of options for milk frothing, water tank is large enough for a bunch of cups and/or drinks Cons: weight of machine (but it has the wonderful move-assist function to offset the weight issue), pucks have a tendency to remain in the PortaFilter even after banging the life out of the thing (requires fine-adjustments of ground courseness and volume), wanted a 2 oz cup of coffee but they limit the machine to 8oz

Yes, it’s expensive. It’s also beautiful. It’s easier to refill the water and clean than my last machine. It’s customizable enough to make real coffee lovers have precise control, while easy enough that a novice like me could use it right away. It’s also made the best coffee out of the machines I’ve had. It’s also the first machine where I actually prefer coffee from this machine over any coffee shop I’ve been to. There are probably other coffee makers that are better values, but if you’re willing to splurge on this one, you won’t be disappointed.

The cold brew and cold espresso features are what sold me they produce consistently smooth, flavorful shots with zero bitterness or sour notes. Every cup tastes balanced and reliable. The Milk IQ system is impressive as well. I’m still have some fine tuning as i want just a little creamier texture, but it’s already performing great. Overall, I’m genuinely impressed with how easy it is to use and how consistently excellent the results are.
