Exceeded My Expectations

I bought this to primarily enhance the ambience around a firepit. I also hoped it would provide enough area lighting that I would not have to rely on additional lighting to safely move about. Turning on additional flood lights would kill the mood. We live in a rural area, so if there is no lighting you cannot even see your outstretched hand. These provide just enough light to meet both objectives. The attached photo was adjusted for exposure in an attempt to match what it looks like to my eye. Cameras see the world differently and normally give a brighter picture to dark scenes. Note: this is for the 108 ft. string. A shorter string will provide less total light. My rating equally applies to the manufacturer's customer service. I had a question about the operation of the remote control. They responded promptly and clearly answered my question via email. Installation went quickly and everything worked first time with the exception of two bulbs that needed a slight re-tightening. I see a lot of reviews where it is obvious that they do not understand that these lights will NOT turn on in daylight, except for a quick flash depending on the status of the push button switch on the back of the solar panel. If the button is in the "off" state, you will not even get the flash. For testing in daylight first cover the entire front of the panel with a piece of light blocking material like heavy paper or cardboard. The lights will immediately turn on, OR, you may have to push the button on the back panel to achieve the panel ON state. Only then can you check for loose bulbs or try the functions of the remote control. If the rear button is not in the ON state, the lights will not go on even in total darkness. My only recommendation for improvement would be better clarification of these points in the instructions. I would buy this product again for sure.

Takes a Licking and Keeps On Lighting

Why did you pick this product vs others?: The time to assess product quality is the reason to review this product now. I've been very impressed with these lights and their consistency with the way they have performed. These lights have gone through at least 2 hail storms and while the bulbs themselves have been cracked, the lights themselves keep on working. I bought 2 sets of these lights and the only one that doesn't work after these storms is one that a hailstone obliterated the socket part so there's no where to plug a new bulb in again. Even the solar panel is fine and continues to charge for all night illumination. If I buy another set...this is what I'll get. Quality: The description seem to tell me that they last a good long time, but didn't expect them to survive storms like we've had.

Very bright, good quality outdoor lights

Extremely bright, we didn’t know if we had to charge them via usb or not so did it for 2 hours and then put them up to get sunlight and they came on that night. We did not get a remote control and can’t see if that is included when reading the product description. Very easy to put up, we used cable ties. Video is taken from a window but you can see they are very bright.
