Great Restaurant Work Shoes — Dressy Look, Solid Grip, and Very Comfortable After Break-In
I recently started working at a high-end restaurant, so I needed a pair of shoes that could do two things well: look professional enough for a nicer restaurant environment, but also be practical enough for long shifts on my feet. After wearing these Bruno Marc non-slip work shoes for multiple shifts, I’m very happy with them and would definitely rate them five stars. My first impression was that they looked much better than a lot of typical restaurant work shoes. A lot of non-slip shoes are comfortable, but they look bulky, plain, or too much like kitchen shoes. These have more of a clean dress-shoe look, which is exactly what I wanted. They look polished enough that I could honestly see myself wearing them to a wedding, a formal event, church, or anywhere that requires black dress shoes. That is one of the main reasons I like them so much: they do not look like basic work shoes, but they still function like work shoes. The only thing I would point out is that they did need a short break-in period. For the first two or three nights, they felt a little uncomfortable and stiff. It was not terrible, but it was definitely noticeable during long shifts where I was walking around, standing, and moving nonstop. At first, I was not completely sure how I felt about them because those first couple of shifts were a little rough. After a few nights, though, they started softening up and breaking in. Once they adjusted to my feet, they became much more comfortable. Now I actually really like wearing them. They feel much better than they did right out of the box, so I would tell people not to judge them completely based on the first night. Give them a little time to break in. The original insoles were decent, but I ended up swapping them out for Dr. Scholl’s inserts, and that completely changed the experience. With the upgraded inserts, they feel amazing. At this point, it almost feels like I’m standing on pillows compared to how they felt at first. For anyone working as a server, bartender, host, restaurant manager, or anyone who stands and walks for hours, I would strongly recommend using a good insole with them. The shoes are already good, but the better inserts made them feel excellent. For restaurant work, comfort is extremely important. You are constantly walking, turning, standing, carrying things, moving between tables, and being on your feet for hours at a time. Shoes can make or break your shift. These have worked really well for that. They give me the professional look I need, but they still feel practical for the job. The non-slip grip also feels good. In a restaurant environment, floors can get wet, greasy, or slippery, so having reliable traction matters. These feel stable and secure while walking around. I do not feel like I’m wearing regular dress shoes that happen to look nice but are unsafe for work. These actually feel made for restaurant use. The upper material is also easy to keep clean, which is another plus. Since they have a smooth black dress-shoe style, they wipe down easily and continue looking sharp. That matters in a restaurant because shoes can get dirty quickly, especially after long shifts. What I like most is the balance between comfort, safety, and appearance. There are probably some restaurant shoes that are softer right out of the box, but most of those do not look nearly as good. These look much more professional while still giving me the non-slip work-shoe function I need. That makes them a great choice for someone who works in a nice restaurant and needs shoes that match the dress code without sacrificing too much comfort. Overall, I’m very happy with these shoes. They looked great from day one, they broke in nicely after a few shifts, the grip feels reliable, and with Dr. Scholl’s inserts they became extremely comfortable. For the price and the way they look, I think they are a great value. I would definitely buy them again.

Very cool shoes!
Bruno Marc Men's Non Slip Work Shoes Restaurant Resistant Dress Derby Shoes Polyurethane (PU) Bruno Marc - Yes, made by Bruno Marc. Men's - Yes, not women's. Non Slip - Yes. They seem to grip very well, I mean it. Work Shoes - Yes. Comfortable enough. Restaurant Resistant - Yes, I haven't slipped or anything even close to it yet. Dress - Yeah. They're dressy. They've got a shine that doesn't go away. I don't know that I would call them "dress" shoes (I've got some leather shoes that are dress shoes and they look it) but they sure look nice enough. Derby Shoes - I don't know what a "Derby" shoe looks like. Polyurethane (PU) - Yes, they are all plastic. All shoes, it seems, these days, have some plastic in them. These are all plastic, and that's okay with me. These shoes are great, I mean it. I have worn these shoes every day for the past month, for two to five hours per day, and they are really comfortable and grippe. They work very well. My naked foot is a size 9, with thin socks on they're a 9.5 max. I bought a size 10 for these knowing that I'll be wearing thicker socks with them, and that turned out to be great. I can lace them up tight enough and I've still got wiggle room for my toes. Check them out. You will like them.

Great customer service
This shoes are very uncomfortable to wear, I try to use them once and it was impossible, it is very weird because I previously had bought another model from the same brand and they were very comfortable. Update👇🏼 I am updating my review because of their great customer service, Olivia contacted me after the first review to make sure I was fully satisfied with my purchase, she offered a full refund or store credit with any of their models even with a different price, I opted for the refund only because I could not find any other model that would fit my needs. She even contacted me one more time to make sure the refund was properly processed, this speaks really well about how they value their customers and stand by all of their products, I would not hesitate to make a purchase again from them just because of this.

Sturdy, Well-made Work Shoe
An exceptionally well-made, comfortable work shoe at a very reasonable price. Although recommended as waterproof restaurant wear, I purchased them for work in the garden. Their stiff sole and high quality polyurethane "leather" is scratch/scuff resistant. I wear a size 9 and the shoe is accurately a snug size 9, but does require a shoehorn. Once the foot is in the shoe, very comfortable. Highly recommended as a work shoe and "dressy" enough.
