Perfect kit for catching and inspecting bugs
This is the perfect kit for catching and looking at all sorts of stuff. The toy is versatile because it can be used to look at plenty of other small things besides bugs. We used this microscope to look at bugs, flowers, rocks, and small toys. There are no batteries required in order to operate the machine. The device uses a rechargeable cable that was included in the box in order to charge up the electronics. The toy has a built-in light so it can be used at any time of the day. The light was extremely helpful in being able to closely examine the details. There is a rotating wheel that can be used to zoom in and out on the insect. We had to scroll the wheel until the focus was perfectly clear. Once we were able to focus the lens, we could clearly see so many more details on the surface of the bug that we were unable to see with the naked eye. The size of everything was perfect for the size of the objects and my toddlerβs small hands. There are so many useful tools included in the box that can be used to capture, hold, and examine the items. It was a very simple process loading up the equipment with the items. All we had to do was pull back a sliding lever in order to open up a door to drop the items inside. We then went on to close the door and use the scroll button to zoom. We were able to take photos and save them into a small library for future viewing. My son is currently obsessed with millipedes and this toy has been an absolute thrill for him to take his hobby to the next level. I highly recommend this for any children that are fascinated by bugs. The current price of $39.99 seems like a fair value for the money based on all of the items provide provided in the set.

So Much More Than a Bug Viewer! An Incredible STEM Toy
This has been one of the biggest hits with my kids! I originally thought they'd use it mostly to look at bugs, but they quickly discovered there are so many other things to explore. Before long, they were examining tiny rocks, leaves, and anything else they could find around the house. The coolest moment was when my son decided to look at one of his gummy vitamins. We were amazed to see the tiny sugar crystals on the outside in incredible detail. It turned into such a fun learning experience and sparked all kinds of curiosity about everyday objects. The microscope itself is well made and easy to use. It has adjustable zoom, focus, and built-in lighting, making it easy to get a clear view of whatever you're examining. It's also rechargeable with a standard USB cable, which is much more convenient than constantly replacing batteries. I also appreciate all of the included accessories. It comes with several tools for collecting specimens, and the expandable insect container is a thoughtful addition. It gives flying insects, like butterflies or moths, enough room while they're being observed before they're safely released. The only thing to be aware of is the photo storage. The microscope has a microSD card slot (supporting cards up to 128GB), but a card is not included. Without one, you can still take photos, but the device only stores one image at a time. If you plan to save lots of pictures, you'll definitely want to pick up a microSD card. Overall, this is a fantastic STEM toy that encourages curiosity, exploration, and hands-on learning. It's become a favorite in our house, and I love seeing my kids get excited about discovering the tiny details in the world around them.

Amazing Bug Catcher Microscope for explore outside!!
Great Bug Catcher Microscope that Gets Kids Exploring! This turned out to be a really fun outdoor activity. The digital viewer lets kids see the bugs enlarged on the screen, which makes the whole experience much more interesting. The coolest thing is: They can take photos and videos of the bugs!! We tried it with an ant and were able to see details that would be difficult to notice with the naked eye. This kit includes several different tools, including a magnifying glass and bug-catching accessories, so kids can grab spiders, ants, mosquitoes, etc.. The controls are fairly simple, it has a magnifying button, a light on button, a photo/video button and it has an SD slot so you can load all kinds of scientific investigations and look at them at the computer! The handle has this sliding button that opens and closes a sliding door on the front of the device so it is easy to grab any kind of crawlers. . It feels more like an exploration tool than just another electronic toy. My favorite part is that it encourages kids to actually go outside, find something interesting, observe it closely, and ask questions about what they're seeing. It's a nice combination of play and learning. Definitely a totally recommended ativity!

Keeps the kids interested in learning about nature
This has been a really fun little activity for getting outside and looking at bugs and other things in nature. The screen makes it way more interesting for kids because they can actually see the insects up close instead of just trying to look at them with a regular magnifying glass. I like that it comes with several different ways to observe things, including the little container, magnifying glass and tweezers. The bug catcher itself is pretty easy for a kid to hold and use, and the screen is simple enough that they dont need a ton of help figuring it out. Itβs definitely more than just a toy since it gets them curious about what theyβre finding outside. Weβve already spent way more time looking for bugs than I thought we would π. The only thing Iβd say is to be gentle with the smaller accessories since they feel a little lightweight, but they work fine. Really cute STEM activity and a fun way to get kids off the electronics for a bit.
