Bought this item in September for my 6 yr old. The zipper has held up to the constant use/abuse. The backpack is lightweight and made of a durable material. The inside is big enough to hold homework folders and lunch box. It also has an inside pocket that contain a small laptop for older users. The fabric hides stains easily and has not ripped despite being dragged on cement many times. I would recommend the pattern and style bag for students of all ages. The waterbottle compartment hold his yeti water bottle and it doesn’t slide out with ease.

The build quality is solid, tough fabric, strong zippers though I haven’t tested it in the rain yet. One thing to note: I thought it had two side bottle holders, but it came with only one, so double-check the description. Overall, it’s a reliable and well-made bag, and shipping was super fast.
