Awesome with a few nits to pick
Generally robust and likely to stand up to outdoor installation. Lots of varied effects on the remote and many more, more easily managed, on the phone app. However: (1) One of the two boxes came without the replacement chips to repair bulbs. (2) When the two sets were linked, the connector, though secure, did not tighten correctly, meaning that I will not be comfortable in assuming it is water tight without adding protective tape over the connectors. (3) The phone app to control the lights (Magic Lantern) would download, but not install immediately because it was flagged as an untrusted source. I finally got it to install after a lot of trial and error, and it offers a much wider range of effects. (4) It also simultaneously operates a multicolored floor lamp in my house, so the bluetooth signals must be the same and not exclusive to the device(s). (5) An additional app (LotuLamp X) is mentioned in the instructions without much of a description or download instructions or reasons I might want it, beyond individual color adjustment of each light is possible. (6) The power supply box was warm to the touch after working with the lights for an hour -- it may be normal to be warm in use, powering two strings of 20 bulbs, each. (7) The photos illustrating the Magic Lantern app in the instruction manual are nearly useless because of the app's black screen and dim text, though once in the running app, it is easy to see and use. Beyond the small problems, I think it is going to be great fun to work (play) with. Update: These are robust lights. They spent the winter (Nov. to Mar.) on a tree in the snow and ice and whipping wind with no problems. I have repurposed them as deck lighting for the summer and bought an additional set set for next year's outdoor tree. When wound around a tree, the linear effects become three dimensional and dazzling. The slow color fades when the branches are covered with snow are mesmerizing. Several friends who saw the amazing tree ordered sets of lights for themselves.

Fun lights
This is an updated review. Original review is at the end of this review. After returning the malfunctioning original set I received and leaving a poor review for the product the seller reached out, and sent me a replacement set. This set functioned as expected, I then purchased a second set leary that the second set would hook in and display the same as the first or even work. BUT THEY DID! This was a great seller who rectified a faulty item. I am excited to enjoy summer nights with these hung along our fence for ambiance. Thank you! Original Review-I'm returning these as half of the second strand of 50 does not light up. They did upon first plugging in but were not white when the app and remote was triggered for white. I attempted to reconnect to app and that was when they stopped lighting up.

Great quality! I wish the bulbs were a bit closer together, but that’s a personal preference. Cole’s with a remote, replacement light, zip ties, and the advertised product. Very easy to install on my porch. They just went through a heavy rain today and are working like a charm- so the water resistant claim is correct. Comes with simple directions, and allows you to connect your phone to your lights via Bluetooth for more personalized light options. It can connect with music, but I haven’t tried that feature yet. These lights are very bright, and all the colors lean more on the white-side. The brightness is adjustable, and the bulbs are made of a plastic. They dropped on my concrete porch and didn’t even scuff.
