Excellent Air Fryer for 2
I've owned a number of different brands of Air Fryers over the past 10 years and it has been very hit or miss. I moved into a smaller place recently and wanted a new Air Fryer that was better suited for smaller spaces and not take up too much counterspace. I searched long and hard and decided on this one. There is another version of this one that is slightly smaller and is WiFi enabled. I elected to go with this one since I could not think of a situation that I would want to control this unit remotely (although you can see the WiFi indicator on the touch screen, it doesn't light up and there is no WiFi functionality in this unit. I assume the control panel on the WiFi version is exactly the same or they plan to make this one WiFi enable in the future as the reason for it being there. I've used it several times already to cook wings, fish, shrimp, and I even cooked a NY Strip in it (yep! I Air-Fried a steak... I know, I know... I said the same thing to myself that you are thinking while it was cooking), but to my surprise, using the preset worked like a charm. The steak was evenly cooked to a perfect medium well temp, just the way I like it. It was juicy, had a little char on the edges, tender and delicious (I cook a mean steak regardless). When I cooked the wings using the Chicken preset, I ended up adding additional time and increasing the temp since my previous experience with other Air Fryers indicated that the presets always undercook chicken, besides the fact that I like to flip them towards the end to ensure they are crispy all the around. The unit indicated 20 minutes @ 360 degrees. I changed it to 25 mins @390. At the end I flipped and added an additional 5 minutes for 10 wings and then after a total of 30 minutes Bam!!! Perfectly cooked chicken wings. I reduced the time by 5 minutes if I'm only cooking 5 wings or so. Pause at the 5 min remaining mark and flip. They come out just as crispy as if they were deep fried (non-battered wings) Now, 30 minutes is in no way faster than pan frying but waiting a little longer for healthier food is not a deal breaker in my book, especially if the food turns out good. The unit has a number of presets including one for Fries that alerts you when it's time to flip. I have not used that preset yet but found the presets on every Air Fryer I have owned, to be hit or miss. Cleaning is a breeze. No, seriously, you cannot get any better than this. Simply let the unit cool. (DO NOT run it under water while it is hot, as it will warp the aluminum pan due to the rapidly changing temps which will also cause the Teflon coating to start to separate prematurely from the pan). Remove the crisper tray and run it under water or use the sprayer and then gently wipe it with a wet sponge or dish cloth using just warm/hot water or a mild soap. The rubber ends are removable, but I just leave them on and clean around them. Rinse the pan and wipe the same way. This is the easiest Air Fryer to clean. The non-stick surface, like all other Teflon based coating will deteriorate over time or improper care, therefore, use silicone, Teflon based or wooded utensils in it to avoid scratching the surfaces. It comes with no cookbook or any other accessories. There is an App that you can download that controls the Wifi version, but the App has dozens of recipes specific for use with both this model and the Wifi version. It has an actual on/off button where most units need to be unplugged (I unplug it anyway since I don't trust touchscreen automated electronic panels which when defective can cut the unit on by itself). It has a timer and a preheat option. You can pause the unit, so you don't have to reset the temp/time if you open it to check on your food allowing you to continue once you close it (major plus). The outside of the unit does "not" get hot. The fan ports the hot air out of the rear and has a built-in guard to ensure you have space behind it so that it is not flush up against the wall. There is a startup process when you first get the unit. Following the instructions, you basically run through each setting and a few presets to familiarize yourself with it. You'll run preheat which will burn off and residual oils left from production. Unlike MANY of the others I have own or tried, there is no burning plastic odor when this thing is running. I had a different brand with an oven door and trays instead of a pan, that smelled like burning plastic that didn't go away until I THREW it away. I chose this brand over so many others since I bought my daughter a previous model of the same brand. Since I have not heard a single complaint about it in 3 years' time, I conclude that it is still running fine because she would not hesitate to call me and let me know how much she hates the piece of junk I bought for her for Christmas that one year. Overall, I am happy with this unit, although it did cut off prematurely once during cooking, but has since operated fine. I've had it less than 30 days but so far so good. It seems well thought out in the engineering department. While I should probably return for the one glitch, it has likely been resolved once the unit was unplugged and plugged back in. I highly recommend this unit if you are only cooking for 1-2 people. YMMV

Best Buy for Air Fryer
This was an excellent purchase. Very user friendly, easy to maintain and clean. The overall size of the COSORI Air Fryer 5 QT is perfect for small to large size cooking. I am not a fan of too many kitchen appliances but I will say that this is well worth the investment for what it does and the rewards that it yields to your time management, nutrition and economic needs. Overall design and color is sleek, and simple, a little more boxy for my taste and space availability but I am able to live with it for the benefits that it yields. Food experimentation was successful each time. The lamb chops came out excellent although I would try a lower temperature to begin the cooking process and finish it with the preset temperature at a shorter interval. The steak fries was also an excellent tester that passed the experimentation. The giant prawns cooked to the exact specification of tenderness on the preset temperature for seafood. This appliance is powerful from the standpoint of its cooking ability. I can put the ingredients in an 20-30 minutes later its done to the perfection that I require without having to spare a moment to keep an eye on it while I am busy with another task. I especially enjoy the fact that it is an easy to clean and maintain kitchen appliance. The basket is easy to clean even after it cools down and the crustiness from the food hardens. A quick soak in warm soapy water after the basket cools down and soft sponge does the trick. No residue of smell left in the pan at all. The inner housing can be easily wiped down with a damp cloth when the entire appliance cools down makes for easy maintenance - no more than 1 minute. It does make a huge difference in the prep and cooking when you need a quick and healthy meal after a long day of work. The COSORI 5 quart was the best after looking at a plethora of other air fryers and also having tested with my sister's (not COSORI brand). The cooking basket height and width is excellent - spacious cooking, especially if you like pans that give you room to maneuver the ingredients. The overall size of the appliance for the countertop would be slightly larger for a small kitchen with less countertop space but if you have room to spare you would hardly notice it taking up room; but for what this appliance does, I would say that the space issue becomes a non-issue. The initial and subsequent cooking in the air fryer did not yield an odd smell that you would normally get from non-stick surfaces. I did follow the suggestion to preheat and I did it with a bowl of water-vinegar solution in the air fryer for about 20 min cycle two times. The price point for this appliance was reasonable especially for what you are getting. HIGHLY recommend this particular model of COSORI.

Best invention since the microwave oven.
The simple intuitive design makes cooking with this air fryer a real pleasure. As someone who has never used an air fryer, I found learning how to use it very easy. My main reason for buying it was to reduce the amount of oil in my diet from deep fried foods. Every time I fill my deep fryer it costs $13 to $15 in the USA, but with the air fryer many foods only require a light misting of oil. I use an oil pump sprayer that significantly reduces oil cost. I figure the thing will pay for itself in oil and energy cost with the year. Now I don't have to heat up my kitchen in the hot summer with a big gas oven just to hear a few fries or roast some chicken. The speed, cooking functions, timer and heat levels are perfect for what I use it for. I love the way this thing makes crispy chicken wings, frozen battered fish, onion rings and French Fries (Crisps for the UK folks) and OMG! you should see all the amazing recipes I've discovered for this thing. It's like going on a culinary adventure everyday trying out all the new things I can make with it. Now here's the part I really love about it,.. the way it's built. I totally dismantled it and examined every part, every component, safety features, and the circuit board. (I'm weird like that) Actually I went much deeper into it. Then I did some research on replacement parts available. Then I studied the design looking for that "Built in obsolescence", you know, that one thing most manufactures build into stuff to make the item fail after a set period of time. I could find any! The ceramic coating on the cooking surfaces is really good, I wouldn't use abrasive cleaners on it so everything will glide and slide nicely. It cleans really easy but there are some areas between the handle and outside of the shaker pan that can't be accessed without taking the handle off. I recommend doing that once a month if you use it a lot or more if something nasty gets between there. Don't buy the model that has app control or notifications, it's gimmicky and unnecessary. If you've never used an air fryer, after a small learning period, it will be your new favorite kitchen appliance.

Well made Air Fryer
Been looking at buying an air fryer for a few weeks now and have been reading the reviews and watching the YouTube video reviews so settled on the Cosori Air Fryer 4.7L model, it works remarkably well and for our needs is nearly perfect. If our family was bigger I would suggest buying one of their bigger models. OBSERVATIONS: With it being square in shape you can put quite a lot of food in it, but if you like eating pizzas then it's probably not big enough, and consider buying one of the larger round air fryers so you can put the whole pizza in. Check the diameter of the pizza before you go down this route. We have compared electric use between this and our fan assisted oven and yes it does save quite a lot of electric, but not only that, it cooks faster and certainly everything seems to come out more crispy which is great. TIP: We tend to put foil on the base to save on washing afterwards The display is on the top of the model and it's beautiful, a work of art, looks similar to an iPad or something you would see on a StarTrek movie and it's unbelievable easy to use. Not so good if it's going under some cabinets on the worktop so if this is the case get the model with a frontal display. Must say I was somewhat dubious of the claims being made but for our uses has proved itself to be invaluable - since buying it the conventional oven has had very little use indeed. If you live on your own and don't eat a lot then Cosori make a smaller model which may suit you better, it really is utterly simple to use so if of the older generation you should be fine. Highly recommended.
