The blanket I didn't know I needed
If you're anything like me, you've been hearing about weighted blankets to help with sleep for a long time now. I kind of thought I was the type of person who preferred lighter weight blankets because I used to have a down comforter and dang if it didn't feel like it was constantly suffocating and crushing me all at once. I ended up getting rid of it, and never thought twice again about getting a weighted blanket. I've slept with silk comforters for the last 20+ years because they're fairly light but still substantial, warm in the winter, and cool in the summer, and have never looked back. But fast forward about 30 years, and here I am, absolutely LOVING this heavy as heck blanket. As someone who suffers from anxiety (and who probably has ADHD and is probably somewhere on the spectrum), I guess the extra weight does something to calm my nervous system because lying underneath it immediately makes me feel less stressed. I laid on the couch with my heart racing, put this blanket over me, and could almost immediately feel my heart rate slow down. It's like my own personal Temple Grandin hug machine in bed with me. I got this in the 15lb weight, and honestly, I think I could've gone 20 lbs without any issues. At 5'1, you would think that might be a bit too heavy, but it just... isn't. In fact, I actually took both of the edges that were hanging to the sides of my body and folded them into the middle so that there was more weight on me, and I liked it even better. Who knew?! (Everyone who has been raving about weighted blankets for all these years, I guess... that's who.) The blanket itself is supposed to be filled with glass beads. I don't know about that, and I'm not about to cut the blanket open to verify this, but it feels like it's filled with sand. There are basically just squares filled with sand with stitching between to keep the sand (or "glass beads") in place. The fabric is soft, and I was concerned that it wouldn't be washable (what, with it being filled with sand and all, lol), but it does include instructions for laundering, so apparently, it's safe to toss into the washing machine. The nubs add an extra dimension of tactile satisfaction to using this blanket, if you're someone who likes to run their hands over fabrics. I purchased the smaller version, which suits me well, but if I had to do it over again, I'd definitely buy the largest size in the heaviest weight.

Weighted blankets are a must have for the best sleep!
After using this weighted blanket for a couple of weeks, I can honestly say it has made a noticeable difference in my sleep quality. The 20 lb weight feels evenly distributed across the blanket instead of bunching up in certain areas, which gives a very calming, secure feeling without being uncomfortable. The minky dot texture is incredibly soft and cozy. It feels comforting immediately when you lay under it, and the material stays breathable enough that I don’t overheat during the night. I was worried a heavier blanket would feel too warm, but this one works surprisingly well year-round. The 60 x 80 size is perfect for my queen bed and provides good coverage without hanging excessively off the sides. I also appreciate that the blanket doesn’t shift around too much while sleeping. The stitching seems durable and keeps the internal beads evenly spread out. What I noticed most is how relaxing it feels after long stressful days. The gentle pressure creates a calming “hugged” sensation that helps me settle down faster and sleep more deeply. I’ve been waking up feeling more rested and less restless during the night. Even though it’s heavy, it still feels flexible and comfortable rather than stiff. The grey color also looks clean and modern with my bedding setup. If you enjoy heavy blankets or want something that helps create a calmer sleep environment, this is definitely worth trying. Great combination of softness, comfort, and relaxation.” Many weighted blanket buyers also mention that choosing a blanket around 10% of body weight gives the best balance of comfort and pressure.

It is so good, almost like a therapy!
This blanket is heavy and it feels sooooo good! After a long day's work, you need something like this to comfor you. I got it hoping it would help me sleep better, and it absolutely does! The moment I pulled it over myself, I understood why people describe weighted blankets as feeling like a gentle hug. The weight is evenly distributed thanks to the 7‑layer design with securely locked ceramic or glass beads, so there are no awkward heavy spots or shifting. The dual‑texture design is a huge bonus. One side has smooth fleece, and the other has fluffy Sherpa, both at 220 GSM, giving it a luxurious, cloud‑like feel. On cooler nights, the Sherpa side is incredibly cozy, and on warmer evenings, the fleece side feels just right. It’s surprisingly breathable for such a heavy blanket, and I never feel overheated. I also appreciate how durable it is. The fabric is fade‑resistant and stain‑resistant, and even after multiple uses, it still looks brand new. Maintenance is simple, spot clean or machine wash on gentle when needed. Most importantly, my sleep has noticeably improved. I fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer without tossing and turning. It genuinely feels calming after long days in the Bakersfield heat. Overall, this blanket is incredibly well‑made, comfortable, and worth every penny. If you’re looking for a weighted blanket that combines softness, durability, and real sleep benefits, this one is an excellent choice.

Great weighted blanket!
I recently got a 20lb weighted blanket, and I have to say, it’s been a game changer for my sleep routine. At first, I was a bit skeptical about the weight, thinking it might feel too heavy or restrictive, but I was pleasantly surprised. Once I crawled under it, it just felt like a warm hug, and I immediately felt more at ease. I’ve noticed that I fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer since I started using it. There’s something so soothing about the pressure it applies; it really helps calm my racing thoughts at night. My anxiety levels have improved too, which is a huge bonus for me. This blanket has become a comforting part of my bedtime ritual. The fabric is soft and cozy, which makes it so inviting to snuggle up with in the evening. It does take a little time to get used to the weight if you’ve never tried a weighted blanket before, but honestly, I found it really enjoyable. For anyone considering a weighted blanket, I would definitely recommend giving the 20lb option a try. It might seem like a significant investment, but for the improvement in sleep quality, I believe it’s worth it! Overall, I’m really happy with my purchase, and I can’t imagine my nights without it now.
