How to unlock the slider.
High quality as expected by Crescent tools. I did have a problem with unlocking the sliders. There was a plastic pin preventing the slider from moving and I could not remove it even with pliers. So, I used a small drill bit to drill through it and then the removal was easy. The slider works well both unlocking and locking. Before I drilled it out, I sent an email a Crescent group located in Apex, NC asking for help on removing the plastic pin. I never received an answered and decided to drill it out. Oh! It was priced well.

Excellent value. Get one for the car.
These are excellent tools. The Crescent quality on these are better than before. I have had a set in my truck for the last 20 years that the case broke and got water in it that tore up the tools. The case is more robust on this one. Having the handle as a solid part of the case is so much better. My old case the handle broke after a couple of years. The case is pinned shut in the box. Pull really hard and the pins come out so the lock can be opened. I used a pair of side cutters to lever the pin out.

Case is poor construction tools are OK
I’ve owned a few of these in the past. It seems as though the case is getting poor in quality. The case doesn’t hold the sockets like it should. The case has cracked in several spots after just a few uses. I sent one back some years ago because of this. It seems to be the new norm for them. The needle nose and the side players are lesser quality than ones that I’ve purchased in the past.
