A Comprehensive Kitchen Foundation: Durability Meets Non-Stick Convenience
The Cuisinart 17-Piece Hard Anodized Set is a massive leap forward for anyone looking to outfit a kitchen with tools that feel professional but remain easy to maintain. Hard-anodized aluminum is significantly harder than stainless steel, giving these pans a rugged, dense structure that provides exceptional heat distribution. Why it’s a winner for daily cooking: - Superior Heat Management: The hard-anodized construction ensures that the pans heat up quickly and, more importantly, evenly. You won't find those annoying "hot spots" that burn your food in one corner while leaving it raw in the other. - Premium Non-Stick Release: The interior is reinforced with a high-quality non-stick coating that is remarkably slick. Whether you’re frying delicate eggs or searing salmon, the food slides right off, which also makes the post-dinner cleanup incredibly fast. - Comprehensive 17-Piece Variety: This set truly covers all the bases. From small saucepans for your morning oatmeal to a large stockpot and multiple skillets, you’ll never find yourself reaching for a pot you don't have. It even includes specialized tools like a steamer insert and a pasta insert. - Tapered Rims and Stay-Cool Handles: The design details matter. The rims are tapered for drip-free pouring, and the solid stainless steel riveted handles stay cool on the stovetop, providing a secure and comfortable grip while you’re tossing a stir-fry. - Professional Durability: Because the exterior is chemically hardened, it is resistant to wear and tear. These pans won't warp under high heat, and they maintain their sleek, dark finish even after years of heavy use. It is a robust and versatile cookware collection that makes the "simple task" of cooking feel more refined and efficient.

Better than advertised!
UPDATE! I’ve used these for about 6 months now and stand by my earlier review. I have noticed a few scratches on the outside of the cookware from being stacked in my cabinets but the inside is still scratch free. Clean up is a breeze, I have never put them in the dishwasher. So if you’re on the fence about this cookware I still recommend it. I bought these for my grandson because I thought they were what he wanted for Christmas but alas! This is not the brand he requested. His mom bought the set he wanted so rather than return these I decided after 35 years of using the same pots and pans I deserved a new set. I am so glad I did! I’ve used them daily since late November and I absolutely love them. They’re weighty enough that they can take heat but not too heavy for my arthritic hands to handle. The handles don’t get hot on the stovetop and clean up is a breeze. I’ve used so much less oil than I used to when sautéing or searing and the flame doesn’t have to be as high (I have a gas stovetop) to get the same cooking temp. It’s recommended using wooden or silicone utensils with them which is not a problem at all for me since that’s all I’ve used for years. I’ve not had a problem with any food sticking nor seen any scratches and I’ll admit I stack them inside one another since I don’t have the space to hang them. If you’re thinking about these I would definitely recommend them.

Excellent value
If you can pick these up for around $150 you won't be disappointed. Ergonomics are very good. They are on the light side which makes handling easy but not so light that they are fragile. Nonstick is excellent but has some scratches already after a few uses. Hasn't affected performance and is not down to the metal but not as durable as some other coatings. Lifetime warranty so I'll see if that is honored if scratches get worse. Definitely recommend wood or silicone utensils. Even plastic seems to cause small scratches. Love the rolled edges on all pieces. No more drips and running down the side of the pot when pouring like my old set with straight walls to the lip. Glass lids are nice but seem fragile. No problems with them but handle with care. A drop or hard bang would likely destroy the lids. They heat very well and evenly. Recommended by manufacturer for medium heat and that really is plenty. My gas stove goes from 1-6 and I find that 4 is the max I ever need.

Perfect pot and pan set!
I purchased this Cuisinart 17 piece cookware set as I was moving from a studio into a larger one bedroom and finally had room for cookware. Cuisinart has always provided quality cookware and this is no exception. They are lightweight but extremely durable. They clean up easily and beautifully and heat food evenly. I decided to go with the "used like new" option and received a brand new set that saved me over $100! I couldn't be happier.
