This kit is a must if you home school or have a kid that is really into science. One thing I didn’t know when I ordered this kit is that you have to supply some of the ingredients to complete the experiments. Most of the items that you provide are normal household components. As a family, our 2 favorite experiments were the volcano and the geode. Our family nights have included many different science kits. By far, this kit is a higher quality kit that give more reliable and impressive experiment results. For the price of $35, you get a lot of higher quality ingredients that make fun, learning experiments and help build a love of science. In my opinion, $35 is a great value for your money. It’s marketed as having 65 experiments, and while about half come with included materials and the rest are designed for home-based add-ons. The included projects cover a range of subjects, volcanoes, fossils, crystals, slime, weather patterns, and even a real geode to break open -offering a mix of geology, chemistry, and earth science. This kit is super fun and packed with stuff to do. It has 65 different experiments like volcanoes, tornadoes, fossils, crystals, slime all the good messy science things kids love. It’s a mix of geology, chemistry, and archaeology so there’s a little bit of everything. Perfect for kids who are curious and like hands-on stuff, and it makes a really cool gift too. I bought a few of these Discovery kits pretty much the same day and this one is by far my favorite kit. they're easy to do, easy to make and fun to play with. it comes with more stuff than the others i purchased such as multiple slimes some of which you make from packets and one thats already made, kinetic sand as well as regular sand, it even has it's own geode!

I purchased this Discovery Planet Earth Science Kit as the fourth Discovery science kit for my 10-year-old nephew who has ADHD, and these sets have consistently been a huge hit with him. The variety of experiments keeps things interesting and hands-on, which is great for kids who learn best by doing rather than just reading about science. This kit covers a lot of ground with activities involving volcanoes, crystals, fossils, slime, and other earth science concepts, so it feels both educational and genuinely fun. His absolute favorite experiment was the DIY volcano, which he thought was the coolest thing ever and immediately wanted to show everyone. Overall, it’s a really engaging STEM kit that encourages curiosity, creativity, and active learning while keeping kids entertained for hours.
