A small backpack that acts bigger than it is - a perfect personal item for under airline seats
I love this backpack. It is so well organized, pockets are large enough so they actually work. So many backpacks have flat pockets and you can't get anything into them, especially if you have the main section full of clothes. I really like the laptop compartment because it has a Velcro strap to keep the laptop secure and also pockets for your cord, mouse, etc. It has a front pocket where you can put your power pack and a charging port to slip the cord through, a small compartment at the top for your phone and things you need to access quickly. I think that one is quite secure because the zipper is facing the back of your neck. In addition to all those, it also has another pocket on the front for things like pens and could be used for snacks, books or even your wallet. It is deep, so things would be quite safe. I think you'd know if someone tried to pick it. Some of the pockets open with 2 zippers so you can secure them with a double carabiner clip for added security. The fabric seems strong, it's water resistant and the bag is light weight. I think it is perfect for a smaller person. My compression bags fit well in the luggage section, which also has two large pockets for added organization. I like the water bottle pocket which expands. There are compression straps on both sides. Another feature is snaps on the body straps so when you aren't wearing it, the straps don't drag. My 15 inch laptop fits perfectly. I think they've thought of just about everything. The only things missing are a hidden pocket on the back side below the luggage strap and a chest strap, otherwise it is perfect. I bought the larger one for comparison and decided I liked the features of the smaller one better. The 18" one has the hidden pocket but doesn't have as nice a laptop section. It doesn't have the Velcro strap or the small pockets for the mouse, etc. I found them more valuable than the hidden pocket. The size meets the size requirement for personal items to put under seats on nearly all airlines. An 18 x 14 X 8 one, or anything larger, no longer meets the airline standards and they are starting to crack down on even being over by 1/2 inch. This is an attractive backpack that won't disappoint you if you are looking for a clam shell style one. It will keep you organized without confusing you about where everything is stashed.

Nice backpack
I have two ECOHUB backpacks, the 17" and now the 18". I've been very happy with them, I've taken the 17" on many trips. I decided to get the 18" because of it being just a little bigger - my laptop didn't fit well in the 17". I liked the texture better on the larger bag - it's smoother whereas the 17" feels rough to the touch. I took the 18" on a trip recently, and I found that even though it wasn't packed to bulging, it still did not slide comfortably under the seat on the plane, and that was in the comfort level seats on Delta. I probably could have jammed it under there, but it wouldn't have been easy. Of course it fit fine in the overhead compartment, but I like having my bag under the seat so I can access items easily. The 17" one fits perfectly under seats with room to spare. The layout of both bags is pretty much the same, with plenty of pockets. I feel like the 17" holds it's shape better than the 18". Both are very handy for packing a change of clothing and small electronic items. The side straps are nice for condensing the bag. I haven't really used the charging port, but it's nice to have if I need it. The shoulder straps are nice - they are easy to loosen and tighten and I find it comfortable to wear. The handles on the top and side are great to have when getting on and off a plane since it's often kind of tight quarters and trying to get a backpack off while on a plane can be difficult. The strap on the back is nice to have so I can put it on my suitcase. Overall I like these bags, and the fact that they are made with recycled materials.

Good bag, nearly ideal, good for the budget traveler
Love this backpack! I previously ordered the 17" and realized it was just a bit too small, so got the 18" in blue-green. The organization is slightly different. The back laptop pocket on this one doesn't have a strap and the smaller one has two slip pockets in that compartment. Since I don't take a laptop, this is good for a jacket and other items I need on my flight. Lots of room. The water bottle pocket holds my 24 oz bottle. I used the compression strap to make a loop for an attached carabiner - it holds the handle on the bottle lid so the bottle never falls out. And keeps the lid handy when the bottle goes through security open and empty. There is a tiny pocket for a luggage tracker. Enough pockets for most things. The extra side handle is helpful and the snaps on the straps keep them from dragging even when wearing the pack. No ripped seams and everything appeared to be solidly sewn. I miss having a key holder but made up one myself. The color is great - very happy with the bag and the price. Be aware that if you fill the pockets in the lid, it gets heavy and floppy. I do wish there was a zippered cover or internal pocket for the main compartment to help keep everything organized. I'd pay more for that feature!. But I'm just going to use a large compression cube on top of everything else to stay neater when the bag is open. The "pass through" for a cable has to be cut open. Not doing that, as many airlines are now telling you not to use a powerbank in your closed luggage while charging.
