It features a mopping function, AI obstacle avoidance, and video viewing capabilities.
I replaced my iRobot J7+—which I’d used for five years—with this robot vacuum. I’m aware that the model I purchased isn't the very latest release, but from a technical standpoint, the technology is already highly mature. This robot vacuum utilizes AI vision and radar-based obstacle avoidance; it is significantly smarter than the robot I used previously. My old iRobot would frequently get lost under the dining table (hindered by the chair legs), whereas this T80 model is quite intelligent, and so far, I haven't encountered that issue. Another reason I chose this particular model is its mopping capability: you simply need to fill the water tank with clean water, and it mops the floor using a slightly damp roller while simultaneously vacuuming. It can also automatically detect carpets in the bedroom; when vacuuming a carpet, the mopping roller automatically retracts. The companion app features a video function, allowing you to remotely control the robot to check on the situation at home. By the way, I did run into a specific issue during setup—which I eventually resolved after consulting various instructions and user feedback—regarding the connection to my home Wi-Fi. It is absolutely essential to select the 2.4 GHz band when connecting the robot to your network. If your router broadcasts both bands (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) under a single, unified Wi-Fi name, I highly recommend renaming the 2.4 GHz band to give it a distinct name. Additionally, you should set your Wi-Fi password to be as simple as possible—for instance, "12345678." Otherwise, the robot will be unable to establish a connection with the server. As illustrated in the image I’ve included, you will encounter a "Failed to connect to server" error. I hope sharing my experience proves helpful to you!

Excellent robot aspirateur!
Rien a redire (après une semaine de utilisation seulement). J'ai été impressionné par la rapidité d'action, la cartographie et l excellente aspiration. Le T8 évite vraiment bien les objets environnants et s adapte très bien aux changements de surface (aspiration plus forte sur les tapis a poils courts). J'ai aimé la possibilité de sélectionner juste une zone personnalisée pour passer soit sur le tapis de l'entrée, soit autour de la table de la salle a manger. L'autonomie est excellente, aucune difficulté a faire chaque étage sur une charge (le multi étage était vraiment indispensable pour moi). Au niveau de la fonctionnalité serpillière, ça reste sympa mais anecdotique avec le système de base. Je regrette notamment de ne pas pouvoir y mettre de produit pour le sol (non recommandé par le fabricant) ou encore de devoir vider/remplir le réservation a chaque utilisation de celle-ci (et enlever/remettre la plaque de la serpillière également). Bref c'est un détail, je reste vraiment très satisfait de ce robot aspirateur qui devient même une petite animation assez amusante a voir travailler...a notre place 😁

Must have for a busy family !
I have 3 kids, so keeping the floors clean all the time feels impossible sometimes 😅 This robot has honestly helped so much. The thing I love most is the mopping. It actually washes the floors well and doesn’t just drag around a wet pad like some other robots we had before. The floors really look and feel clean after it finishes. I also love the little side part that comes out to clean closer to corners and baseboards. Our old robot always missed those spots, but this one does a much better job. Another big difference is how quiet it is. We had other robot vacuums before and they were so loud. This one is much quieter and easier to run during the day without bothering everyone. There are also a lot of custom settings and programs in the app. Honestly, I’m not even using all of them yet because there are so many options, but I want to start learning more and setting up different cleaning routines. For our family of 5, this has been such a good purchase. It really helps keep the house looking clean without constantly cleaning floors myself.

Reliable brand robot vacuum makes daily cleaning so much easier
This is my third Ecovacs Deebot robot vacuum. My first one was a T10 that I’ve been using downstairs for over 3 years and it still works great, which I really believe Ecovacs Deebot is a reliable brand. Last year I bought a T50 for upstairs, and I loved the automatic mop washing and drying feature, so this time I decided to upgrade downstairs to the newer T80 too. I just set up the T80 couple days ago, and I feel it's smarter and stronger than the T50. It cleans corners and edges better, and also seems quieter while running. I’m happy that I don’t have to remember to take the mop pads off and wash them by hand anymore. It definitely makes daily cleaning easier and saves me a lot of time. So far I’m very impressed with it.
