Why have I waited so long to get one of these?! Great heating blanket!
I, and I cannot stress this enough, LOVE THIS BLANKET!!! It’s the perfect size I need for myself! I am 5’7” and a thick ol girl… I can stretch out completely and still have ample coverage all around me. I could not wait for this blanket to get here to me! I immediately set it up (don’t forget to snap everything together before plugging into an outlet!) and my blanket is large enough, soft and plush, a little weighted because of the wiring inside, but feels just right, and already warm without having to turn on the heat. Once the heat is on I can feel it working immediately! I do feel the heat more on the side the connection is on at first, but it doesn’t take long for the entire set up to get toasty. The color I chose is cute, too. I like this muted berry color! It’s soft and pretty! The house stays cool because I hate sweating so when I’m working on my laptop, I bundle up to keep from freezing my cheeks off. I kept it on low because it was just perfect, it was more than enough heat to keep me comfy! If I need a little boost in heat I just bump it up a notch and oh man. My toes get so warm so fast! I purposely bought this blanket obviously to keep me warm, but because I get cold while napping, sitting for long periods, and for at night when it starts to get cold. At night, I turned it on low just after I climbed underneath and it got too warm, so I turned it back off. I didn’t get cold once last night and when I woke up, I just turned it on a little bit to get toasty again. I love that it immediately starts working! It says it’s washable, which is awesome. Haven’t had to use that yet and so far no lint, I’m more worried about lint and my four legged heathens’ shedding getting all over my blanket, but so far so good.

Great choice (and love the color, too!)
So far so good! My old electric blanket gave up the ghost after 5 years or so and I needed this replacement. So many choices with so many iffy reviews so I settled on this one because it came with the recommendation from a friend I'd gifted on to who's been quite happy with it for about 3 years. I like the way the elements are secured within the blanket much better than my old (and more expensive) blanket was made, I have a feeling this one will last a long time. I'd have preferred a tabletop controller, but the in-line will do (I just wrapped it around a bedside table). The cord is plenty long for my arrangement. The controller functions well, though there isn't much difference between 3 and 5 - they're both downright hot, with 2 being my preference after a preheat on 5. The auto-shutoff works well but I'm not sure how long it actually is since it's still on when I awake after 5 or so hours. But it's easy enough to hit the controller to turn back on if need be. As far as the complains of thinness from others, I find this the right weight for me (and on par with my old one). I use a comforter on top and it holds in the heat quite well. I love the feel of the color-side, but not so much the fluffy side (a personal yuck of that texture) but a top sheet solves that problem. I keep my house cold at night (65° in winter) and this more than makes up for on a low setting and saves on utility bills. Totally recommend :)

surprisingly pleased
I recently purchased a few styles of electric blankets. Was looking for as close as I could find to the older 80's style thick ones but it seems they are nowhere to be found. The first one arrived and immediately upon opening noticed how thin in comparison to the older ones it was. So thin in fact you could feel every wire throughout. But it was soft and figured I'd give it a try. At first it was nice, heated fast and well. Sadly it didnt last more than a month before it stopped heating altogether. Straight garbage. Looked again for a replacement and chose this one for the reviews, price value and size. Price was extremely nice considering the size being even larger than the previous one. The controller isnt as nice and is more basic in style but does the job. It is a bit thicker than the previous as well...though still thin compared to the old school styles from the past. The size on this will fit a full size bed. One thing I do like is the cord on the controller is a good bit longer and will reach from a good distance away from an outlet. Considering that is it not recommended to use extension cords with these having an extra long cord is a plus. Blanket heats up fast and seems consistent throughout. Haven't noticed any cooler spots so far. Nice even heat. Overall am pretty pleased and blanket is also very soft to the skin.

Solid Blanket
This blanket it lightweight enough to be used on a normal evening without the heating element but also warm enough to keep comfortable. It's super soft on both sides and the color is vibrant and as expected. The heating options are warm, light, moderate and high. I preheat with high for about 10 minutes and drop to warm/light and typically fall asleep comfortably and stay asleep because it's not too hot. It heats quickly and is very efficient. If it's a super cold night toss a blanket or comforter on top and it holds the heat in super well. The heating element stays on for 10-13 hours unless it is turned off manually and after that time period it will automatically turn off. Very helpful if you wake up late and forget to turn it off, which happens far too often. It's a great safety mechanism. The material is soft and comfy but is noticably lower quality than a blanket that is twice the price but it is holding up nicely. You can see the white back side through the front in spots but again, holding up well. I have not washed it yet but I do believe it will wash up nicely. I've had it over a month and am using it nightly over a sheet. For the price/quality combo I'd buy multiple blankets for other beds, couch cuddles and as a back up.
