Love this Teapot
When our old kettle died, my wife and I wanted to get something better than the old heat-em-up-quick water boiler. I spent hours researching and finally came down to this Paris Rhone unit vs the Cuisinart Perfectempt. The Perfectemp was rated as the top unit in most of the reviews that included it; while the Paris Rhone usually wasn't even mentioned. We chose this unit largely because the Cuisinart was noticeably more expensive with both units having comparable features. The Paris Rhone appears to be made in France and contains a highly rated British heating unit. The Cuisinart is made in China. The Paris Rhone weighs 2.59 lbs, while the Cuisinart weights 1 lb. To me that translated into sturdiness and quality. We've had the unit for two months now. It is quieter than our old unit. It heats up quickly - and even faster on the lower setting that I use for my chaga tea. It does get hot, so maybe not the best choice for young children when there are better insulated units around. But I don't put my hands on the hot sides of the unit any more than I put my hands on the stove top. The lid which I do touch has a plastic button that does not get overly heated and pops the lid up all the way. I view this as an advantage over the other unit as well. One of the other reviewers complained about the beeping noise made that let's you know when it is ready and whenever you touch a button. I actually appreciate the beeps and find them just loud enough that I can hear them within the kitchen - not intrusive or irritating at all to me. All in all, we are so pleased with this unit. It is solid, fast, and does the job.

I love this coffee pot
I bought this to replace the one I had that wore out. This one is not worth the money. It will start to heat up then it beeps and shuts off as if it's already heated the water but obviously hasn't. If you try to turn it back on it's a hit and miss deal. Sometimes it will heat, sometimes it won't. Edited: The seller refunded my money and replaced the item. UPDATED: I got the replacement pot on Jul 13, 2022. It's now Jan 29, 2024. It just went out today. I'm so upset as I don't have the money to replace it right now. This has been a darned good pot. I used it on the daily for my coffee and for heating up water for just about everything. It's been a real workhorse and I'm going to miss it. I'll have to wait until next month to get a replacement. Just know if you get this pot, you won't be sorry. It works great and the customer service is really good.

Fantastic buy!
I have been wanting a variable temperature kettle ever since trying the much more expensive Cuisinart, and when I saw this one at a discounted price I thought I would give this brand that I had never heard of a try. So far I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. Setting the temperature is easy, and the keep warm function is very nice to have. 2 minor complaints: the kettle does not retain settings once removed from the base meaning you have to set it every time unless you want boiled water, and the kettle wobbles on the base slightly when the water boils which gives the impression of slightly lesser quality. Neither of these is a reason to walk away, but I noticed them. I would still buy this again if someone were to steal mine.

I am very impressed by how quickly this kettle boils water. I have had many good models over the years, and none that was so efficient. You can choose your temperature. A great feature is that you can decide whether or not to keep it warm by selecting the "keep warm" program. I like that it is stainless still as I try to avoid plastic in my environment. Only the tiny filter is in plastic and can be easily removed. I'm very pleased with this buy.
