Great value, great gift too!
A great way to open a bottle of wine. Rechargeable, powerful motor effortlessly pulls corks out of bottles of wine. Comes with a foil cutter, 4 vacuum-type sealing rubber corks to protect the wine once the bottle has been opened, and an aerating pour spout for quickly "opening up" the bouquet and subtle nuances of a newly opened bottle of wine. I got this to replace an old, impressive but hard-to-operate "Estate" pull-handle countertop wine de-corker, and am very pleased that I did. A couple of notes for those not familiar with this type of wine opener: first, you'll need to supply a standard usb wall wart to charge the battery. One other reviewer was obviously frustrated that there was "no way to plug it into an electric outlet" - well it's not meant to be plugged in except to charge, and more manufacturers these days are not supplying the charge adapters because they're so ubiquitous (ie, everybody's got a drawer full of them.) The second note is to be sure you've got the opener centered over the cork and are holding it straight upright so the corkscrew can insert close to the center of the cork (it will not be dead center, but off to one side a little bit), and so it can pull the cork straight out with the least amount of effort by the motor. And one final note about the vacuum-seal corks: it may take a few more pumps than expected to pull enough air out of the bottle that the tapered rubber vacuum cork gets sealed properly. You may not feel much resistance while you're pumping, but if you're paying attention, you'll feel the rubber cork being pulled slightly into the bottle to seal it, and there will be resistance when you try to pull it out. All in all, a nicely designed and effective tool at a very reasonable cost. Recommended.

Nice replacement
My wife had a different model for years that finally went out. I bought this one as a replacement, and it opens wine without a hitch. Rechargeable battery is better than the old one that took AAs. Solid choice.
