Inexpensive but Perfect!
This had lamp is not expensive and is made of plastic and has AAA batteries. It doesn't have a built in lithium battery. You have to put a couple of AAA's in. I like this better because removable batteries offer more power to get more light. I also have rechargeable that last a lot longer than the small lithium batteries things usually have. It's light weight and waterproof. Gives off a lot of light...not sure the true "lumens" but my partner complains when I shine it at them and It lights up my way on a moonless dark night. Makes walking my dog easier...to pick up poop. It also make me fee a little more secure/safe walking along. It has a flashing red light setting that can be seen a long way off. It won't stop you from getting mugged, but it helps a little, IMHO. I just got another for my significant other. Don't buy those gimmick winter hats with them built in. This gives you the freedom to weir any hat you like ..summer or winter or no hat at all. The hats with lights don't come close to the brightness of these head lamps. I got both and returned the hats.

Not too shabby
I wanted a new headlight since the one I have is just so so. This Energizer one was at a nice price point so I couldn't pass this one up. The main light is pretty bright and I'm able to see clearly out to 50 feet or so which is great. The lower level light setting is good for some chores around the house or under the sink. Both settings provide ample light. The wide beam setting is nice for somewhat enclosed spaces so you see more area instead of just a spot of light. The green/red lights are a bit different and I haven't used them just yet. Curios to see how these work at night but, just walking around my house, you can see well enough with these color settings on. Haven't had a chance to test out battery life but hoping it should last for a bit. Only real complaint is that the headband is a bit itchy for me. I'll probably replace it with a nylon one or something. Overall though, if you need a headlamp for work or emergency situations, this one works out pretty nicely. Plus it's a reasonable price point as well.

Super bright, dims easily
Initial impression is very good. It’s bright and lightweight so comfortable to wear. On high, it’s much brighter than I expected. Dimming seems to work well. There are no instructions at all so it’s trial and error using the one button to do everything from selecting the lighting mode to dimming to turning it on/off. I can now see why a model with memory would be handy. The second button is just for the red and green lights which I’ll probably never use. My previous head lamp was also a one button thing but only had hi/lo. Worked great until the battery door clips broke. This seems like a good replacement at 1/3 the cost. Pretty happy with it since I have very minimal needs.

Awesome Headlamp
My wife laughed when I opened this item up as a gift for Christmas. She asked me when I was ever going to use it. I used it in fact tonight to remove and replace a set of door locks on an exterior door at my Masonic lodge building. It was after sundown and I was concerned that I wasn't going to be able to see where to line up the screws on the lock, and didn't think a battery-powered lantern would suffice. This headlamp 'knocked it out of the ballpark' in regards to lighting up my project for me. I absolutely love it, and I also like that it runs on batteries and doesn't need to be charged either. Simple and powerful. Awesome headlamp!
