Excellent Short-Term Wine Preservation System!
The ETO wine-preservation system is impressive, to say the least. As a decanter, it's okay; I often 'pair' it with medium- and wine-bottom decanters when I am aerating wines that require significant oxygen exposure. However, it is for _storing_ wine where the ETO really shines -- the unique plunger system evacuates almost all of the air, creating a pretty good seal on the remaining wine in the ETO. I've stored wine in the ETO over multiple days, and the wine is just as fresh days later as it was when I sealed it. In one case, I sealed and stored a wine in the refrigerator (in the ETO) for a week and a half, it was just as fresh when I took it out as it was when I sealed it. I now have 3 ETOs, and use them whenever I open any bottle of wine -- even for storing overnight. For long-term storage (months or years), the Coravin system is still the master -- but for anything less than two weeks, the ETO is the superior (and less-expen$ive) choice. I believe that both systems work well together, and the selection of which system to use depends on whether you plan to consume the wine in the near term (ETO) or put the bottle back in the cellar to continue aging (Coravin). FWIW, my ETOs are brushed nickel -- they are beautiful, they clean up easily when the wine is finished, and they have maintained their brushed-nickel finish impeccably. As a lover of well-aged wines -- primarily left-bank Bordeauxs and various Barolos -- I recommend the ETO for any short-term wine preservation. I would give it 6 stars if I could.

No more dumping wine!
I LOVE IT!!! I'm the only one who drinks wine in our household. I hate dumping wine too. I like that I can have a couple glasses of wine and drink it a week later. It still taste the same when you open a bottle of wine. It's easy to use, easy to pour and easy to clean up. This would be amazing gift for wine lovers.

Easy wine airlock to keep wine more than a day!
I looked this decanter for a while before I pulled the trigger and I'm so happy I did. It does a great job decanting - pretty straight forward stuff there of course. However, the airlock wine storage works is so easy to use and works like a charm and I would say is the main reason to buy the Eto!
