Great for Flight Crew!
Been an airline grunt now for 20+ years. The biz can be a meat grinder and those of you in know what I'm talking about when it comes to tools of the trade. I've owned Samsonite, TravelPro, Purdy Neat (aka LuggageWorks), and Briggs and Riley. Whether it's a trip to Scranton or Singapore, we NEED durable stuff for our, uh, stuff. Our gear needs to abide rogue hotel van drivers, dirty cockpits and galleys, deadheads crammed into coach like a rhesus monkey and on and on. Don't listen to/read the self-proclaimed road warriors' travel gear reviews. Listen to flight crews' reviews. Our stuff takes a beating that makes an NFL linebacker grimace. My luggage complement now consists of Briggs and Riley roll-a-board and THIS. I buy quality crap because I need it to last but couldn't justify the mega-$$ for the B&R companion backpack. This bad boy is just as good as anything B&R makes if not better, and for less money. I read a LOT of reviews beforehand and really wanted something that worked especially well in the flight deck. Here's where this dude shines: * It sits upright and doesn't flop on the ground like a Premier League midfielder. * It has an excellent and sturdy sunglass holder...ON TOP! Pilots take note. That little space to your left or right) up front is limited. Idk about other planes but it fits perfectly in a B757/B767/B777, etc. * The front pocket with a magnetic latch is perfect for your Telex headset. * The rear laptop/iPad pockets are generous and hold my collapsible cockpit window shades in addition to the other stuff like a clipboard (that we use to hold our lunch). * Plenty of pen and doodad holders. * Sleeve for sliding over roll-a-board handle. * One-of-a-kind zippered side pocket for passport and wallet. Not completely hidden but close enough. * THE ZIPPERS! Chunky and robust, like your captain that's subsisted on crew meals for years. * Overall construction and material is great. * Not a spaghetti mess of useless dangly straps that nobody EVER uses. I'm talking about you North Face. * The side pockets are fantastic. I use one to hold my flashlight. The other for an umbrella. One of 'em is purportedly for a water bottle but haven't used it as such yet. Granted, this unit is new. Let's see what a few trips does to it!

Intelligently Designed, Functional, and Comfortable
I had been using a Pad & Quill backpack (Large, discontinued) for about 3 years but it was sub optimized as a tech backpack. After looking at several options, I chose the Everki Onyx and couldn't be happier. Intelligently designed compartmentalizations facilitate rapidly building muscle memory for finding exactly what I'm looking for. Further, it lends itself to easy and efficient loading when trying to achieve escape velocity from work. I love the separate sleeves in the same compartment for laptop and tablet, as well as the bright orange soft interior that makes it easy to find things in low light. The hard case for eyeglasses is a thoughtful touch, as is the pass through for a carry on extended handle. It's not a bag one could use as a single bag for a weekend, but it readily relieves one's principal carryon of all the tech and work paper. I've had it only a couple months so not enough time to evaluate durability, but the materials certainly suggest that it will contend well with years of daily use. Unlike those of the P&Q backpack it replaced, the shoulder straps for the Onyx are very comfortable and quickly adjust for a perfect fit. I could wear this on a hike and not tire of it. At $295 it may seem overpriced, but certainly not when compared to an equally equipped Tumi bag. By comparison, the Onyx is a great value and I strongly recommend it to anyone who needs to have all of one's tech handy whether at home, at work, or working remotely.

The bag is very well made, strong and VERY comfortable. The lumbar support is really nice and the straps are well padded Lots of pockets! More pockets than you can shake a stick at!! My 13" MacBook Air and iPad Pro 12" fit perfectly as do my Beoplay H9i in their 3rd party case, and all the charging leads. The pockets for the MacBook and iPad are 'fur' lined. I got fed up of backpacks failing on me, mostly coming apart on the straps. This has a 30 year guarantee so I hope I am good if it fails. Is it worth £250 - that's subjective! I think it needs to massage my back as I walk for that money, but it is the best I could find and I did a lot of research on-line. Every bag that fitted the bill of what I needed were all in this price range This bag stands up on its own! Sounds trivial but it makes a difference. Overall its quality and you wont be disappointed with the build etc, just smarts a bit to pay the £250 after several weeks of use it is still a very good bag, except: because there is no hard separation between compartments, the contents inside the small side pocket interfere when trying to put away the iPad pro. Just a small issue but it is starting to annoy me. The inside 'flap' or separator could also be longer in my opinion. BUT still happy with the purchase

Perfect bag for business traveler.
I don’t write reviews - I think this might be my first ever on Amazon. But I’m so happy with this bag I had to post. It’s worth every penny. I’m a weekly business traveler and this bag is perfect. The pocket for sliding onto my luggage handle is well designed and drops onto my Samsonite roller easily. Comfortably fits a large laptop, my ipad, and anything else I want or need to carry. Outside is very stylish and sleek and durable. Inside is velvet smooth but durable. I even had a TSA agent compliment me on the bag the other day. “Hey, that’s a damn nice backpack!” It’s got several easy access pockets to drop your watch, wallet, phone(s), keys, phones, etc. in to zoom thru security. I just can’t say enough about how well this is designed… it’s like the designer was an experienced biz traveler. If you are on the fence just do it, you won’t regret it. I’m a buy it for lifer and this is the backpack I was looking for.
