Super fun and exciting escape games in a box
The Exit the Room games are an absolute delight to play! They're a little tricky when you're first starting out, but once you get the hang of things, you'll figure out how to solve the riddles in no time. These four are perfect for beginners. Unlike some of the higher level Exit games, these beginner boxes run in a linear way. You'll be prompted to use certain pages in the book along with certain riddle cards and "mysterious objects", which makes it easier to understand what you need to do. There's still plenty of excitement trickery going on though! I loved all four of these, but my favorite was The Haunted Roller Coaster. It was really funny with a low-level spooky vibe. I laughed out loud at quite a few points because the puzzles were so cute. For all of these games, be sure to have scrap paper, a pen and a pencil, a ruler and scissors. You're sure to need them all at some point during the game. There's also a free downloadable app to go along with the games that provides sound effects and a helpful timer. I love the Exit the Room series. I highly recommend them for parties, family game nights, or even just for a fun and challenging time on your own or with a partner.

Mysterious Museum is entertaining
We have only played one of these so far, but we had a good time. It was only two of us for most of the game, and the slightly simpler puzzles meant we finished in a reasonable 2 hours, instead of being up until the wee hours. We found some puzzles fairly easy and others we gave in and used clues, but most were a nice sweet spot of difficulty. I'm really looking forward to playing the rest; I suspect after I have done several more, I will have a better idea how to tackle the harder levels.

The app is wonderful for creating atmosphere! We've done two of them now, the Haunted Roller Coaster and The Sunken Treasure and we've been impressed by them BOTH!! Can't wait to finish them!
