One of my top favorites of all The Exit games.
One of the best exit games. I’m a big fan of the exit games and have played a lot of them. My kids enjoy the kids ones as well but they do solve them pretty quick. Anyhow we just received this one and my 7 year old and I devoured the first game. NOTE REVIEW IS SO FAR ONLY FOR THE FIRST OF THE 2 GAMES IN THIS SET. You have to finish the first one to what you need for the second and it continues storyline in game two. But I have no doubt gar 2 will be great, first one was REALLY fantastic. So creative ands there is one object in particular that was the coolest design, so creative and just brought the excitement level to another level. It was one of the most fun of the exit games. I loved the difficulty level. Perfect level of challenging enough to not just solve too quickly, but also easy enough and logical enough that I could do a little exploring and then just give minor hints for my daughter to then take it from there and solve. She loved putting things into the decoder and then finding the next right card. She figured out one of puzzles I was a little stuck on. She was very engaged. There was really some unique and fun puzzles in this but I don’t want to spoil it. Hands down get this. Even if you don’t have kids but enjoy the Exit games, this is fun. You do have to have at least two players though, unlike the rest of the Exit games ( I think play best solo or two max) Well really only for 1 puzzle do you need two people in this one. And if you did just think about it harder, you could solve that puzzle solo but how it plays out with two people was just too fun and creative. Oh and bonus: this one can very easily be passed along to someone else to replay. This might only make sense if you have played these exit games before, but in the standard adult Exit games, you often need to do things like cut, draw, etc. on the materials. Which makes them not replayable to others. I always go out of my way to try to skip doing that when I can, or doing it limitedly. But you can’t always get around it. But in this one: 1. You but some cads, but cutting them doesn’t give away the answer so it’s no problem just keeping the cut pieces and it will not effect the next persons to want to play it. 2.And some I didn’t need to cut and we could still figure out. 3. One puzzle has you use a bunch of colored dot stickers. And those can lose their stick fairly easily, but they are just generic colored dot stickers. You could easily replace or just use your own stickers or tape paper in their place, lots of easy ways to get around that. Everything else though didn’t get destroyed. I hope they make more in this line of thiss caliber.

High quality family fun. Don’t miss this!
We just ended our Christmas Day celebrations playing this Exit game as a family of three with a 10 year old. Full disclosure - we are puzzle nerds tho have done a ton of in-person escape rooms and played many adult Exit Games. The 10 year old in our family is very smart, and loves to puzzle alongside us, so we didn’t want to play a game that was insultingly easy or dumbed-down. This game was anything but! In fact, it had some of my favorite puzzle mechanics I’ve ever ever played after 50+ escape rooms and most at-home escape rooms on the market. I even found some of the gameplay to be more fun than the adult versions of Exit games that I have played with my husband (minus the kiddo). The story was fun, the puzzles involved teamwork so no one was left out, and we felt like we truly accomplished something upon solving. Also - while we found the game fun as a family with loads of puzzling history - I believe it would be fully accessible for a “newbie” family trying puzzle games for the first time. Long story short - if you are looking for some fun family time to get the kiddos off screens, grab this game. It won’t disappoint. Bonus - it has two games in one - the second of which you can’t play without competing the first. This means you yet two full nights of family fun out of the game. Totally worth it in my book!

Good value, fun and engaging for 9 year olds with help from an adult to do together.
We ordered this escape room game to play together, and it was a great experience with my 9-year-old. The puzzles were challenging enough to keep it fun and engaging, but it’s definitely not something a group of 9-year-olds could fully figure out on their own without adult guidance. That said, it was perfect as a shared activity. I was able to gently guide her on where to look and how to think through the clues, and there were even a few puzzles she solved completely on her own—which was really rewarding to watch. We took care to keep all the clues in good condition so she could later play “clue master” while her teenage sisters worked through the game next, and that made it even more fun. Great value for the money, fun kid-friendly themes, and something we’ll happily pass along to another family when we’re done. We really enjoyed it and would recommend it for families looking for an interactive, screen-free activity to do together.

Great fun Escape Room Style
I've been buying an Exit Advent Calendar every year for a while now, and they've become part of my Christmas tradition. If you enjoy escape rooms, puzzles, and mystery games, these are a fantastic way to add a bit of fun to December. Each day gives you a new puzzle to solve, and the story gradually unfolds as you progress through the calendar. A lot of thought has gone into the design, and the puzzles are challenging enough to be satisfying without becoming frustrating. The quality is excellent, and I always feel like I've had my money's worth. Just be aware that it is a one time play experience. You'll often need to cut out pieces, write on components, and sometimes use parts of the box itself to solve puzzles, so it's not something you can pass on once completed. For me, it's become as much a part of Christmas as putting up the decorations. Highly recommended for anyone who loves puzzles and escape rooms.
