This thing is excellent! I've had this for 15 years now. I can't believe I haven't reviewed it until now but here goes... It's worth every penny. As I've gotten older I appreciate it more and more. It's easy to use, providing you have the reaching ability. Mounting right under the cabinet was simple. You can't even see it. You don't know it's there unless you look. I've tried many different gadgets for opening jars and ended up struggling with those usually because of a gripping issue. I even had the automatic one that spins then pops for you, but that one didn't last long before it died. I don't have trouble holding onto anything with this. It doesn't take much grip strength. If you struggle with jars or any kind of twist cap, this will work for you. Be aware that it can leave marks on some lids that protrude a tiny bit. They could be sharp in some instances. But it only ever happened to me once opening a pickle jar. For me it was money well spent. 15 years! And still going strong.

Great Solution to the Tight Lid or Cap!
This opener is a win-win, all the way around. I installed it easily myself, in 2022, with a battery charged screwdriver, under my corner kitchen cabinet. (You need the shorter screws it comes with). I was worried about the body of it being 'plastic', but that hasn't been a problem. One of the best things about it, besides working so well, is that it is out of sight, AND you never have to dig through drawers to find the opener. I have a big problem with how tight the lids are on bottles on mineral water, sodas, and sometimes other items, but this works so well! You just slide it into the V shaped opening, making sure its all the way in, push up white turning the jar or bottle clockwise, fairly firmly, and the lid loosens right away.

Jars open easily, no struggle, and since it has been installed she has not needed to ask for help opening a single container. My only complaint is the teeth are a little aggressive and can poke tiny holes in metal lids. The benefits vastly outweigh my concerns. Get this, don't debate, the cost-benefit is well in your favor.
