Heartfelt message with humor for a beloved friend.
This is a wonderful card to send a beloved dear or best friend. I thought of three friends immediately when I spotted this card and considered buying three of these cards. As they are not friends with each other, perhaps I could have done that, but that felt weird. Maybe I will look for two other similar cards. Have no fears about substandard quality. Anyone receiving it will think you spent a good amount on the card. The card arrives sealed in clear plastic with the front of the card facing in, so you only see the back of the card. I think it is sent this way in case the intended recipient opens the packaging; this keeps the surprise from being revealed. The pickers still managed to get me the correct card. The card is made of thick paper and is a dark blue color on the front and white on the inside and back. The envelope is made of thick craft paper that has a recycled look. There is nothing flimsy or cheap in the presentation. This is a much nicer card than you could get at a discount store, and while it isn't a brand-name card, it looks like a brand-name card. The envelope does not contain a glue strip for sealing it. Instead, it comes with a gold sealing sticker. This is fine for giving the gift in person, but if you need to mail the card, I would add tape or glue and not trust the sealing sticker to keep the envelope sealed. Standard postage should be sufficient. This is an ideal card to send to that beloved friend when one of you has moved away from the other, or a "just because" card to surprise someone. It has nothing gendered about the message, so a guy could give it to another guy, but let's face it, most cards are bought by women. The outside of the card reads: Friendship is weird... you just pick a human you've met and you're like, "Yep, I like this one." And you do stuff with them. I'm glad I picked you. This is a humorous message that also feels heart-felt and warm. It's that whole "I want to say a sweet, sentimental thing, but clothe it in humor so that it doesn't get maudlin." The inside of the card reads: "And honestly, I'd pick you again." Clue the happy tears. There is plenty of room inside to write your own heartfelt message (this card and the relationship you are celebrating) calls for that. I'd give this card more than 5 stars if I could. I'm off to look for other similar cards for my other friends, but if I can't find any that measure up, I will get more copies of this card.
