RATED EXCELLENT by my plants and me!
EXCELLENT humidifier! for people and plants!!! Sleek design, easy to clean [more on that later], soft glow night lite, lightweight, linen finish tank exterior adds nice look while making it easier to handle/not slip. DISHWASHER safe for tank is HUGE!! I waited more than a month to rate this so I've cleaned it several times. I use RO water so no dreaded 'white dust' however there is pink slick stuff that eventually coats the interior surfaces and needs to be cleaned. In fact, the unit will shut off if it needs cleaning. *** be sure to remove mist tube base when cleaning to get inside the tube. I use them [got 2] 24/7 so cleaning about every 7-10 days. **Be aware if you wait until unit shuts down due to build-up, it may need an hour or so to 'reboot' after you clean it. The control knob will blink red. Turn it off and wait. This happened to me twice. Each time I noticed build up around areas I thought I cleaned well enough. I stated using white cotton gloves [can wash these and reuse instead of wasting paper towels] which enables my fingers to really get the nooks clean in the base. The tank goes in dishwasher but base needs cleaning too. ** the weighted water level can be removed for cleaning by gently pulling up. If you don't have RO or don't want to buy distilled water, a Britta works well also. Noise is not an issue, it's barely a whisper! Easy setup, no leakage. This humidifier is amazing!!
