Full In-Depth Review By: Matthew J.
Review By: Matthew J. For the Foxelli Black-Mini USB Rechargeable Headlamp The Foxelli Black-Mini USB Rechargeable Headlamp is a great overall product. This headlamp would be perfect for any outdoor enthusiast, specifically backpackers and night-time runners. This headlamp has many great features. The headlamps best features are: rechargeability, lightweight, very durable, compact, extremely bright light, long-lasting battery, waterproof, one-hundred and twenty-day warranty, and is a great value for the price. This headlamp is sensationally lightweight, weighing in at 2.4 ounces. This is perfect for any type of outdoorsman trying to cut the weight of their gear bag on a long hike or a runner who doesn’t want a big bulky headlight weighing them down on their head while on a walk or jog at night. It has a very bright light that can last for many hours on a single charge. The average length for a single charge is up to forty hours. This allows you to see where you are going at all hours of the night. Also, this headlamp has multiple light: high beam mode, low beam mode, strobe mode, and SOS light setting that are all accessible from the same central button. This makes it easy to change to a different setting if you are running or hiking. The headlamp is very durable for how compact and lightweight it is. It remains fully functional after being dropped at shoulder level many times or getting banged-up in the bottom of an outdoor bag. For the times when the weather is inclement this headlamp also shines, because of its waterproofing. This is a great feature since, you may never know when a rainstorm, snowstorm, or an accident may happen and by having a waterproof headlamp would be essential. Lastly, the best feature is it rechargeability via USB plug-in. This allows the user to save money on batteries, help keep the earth green, and charge the headlamp at any USB port. This is very convenient since, most people have access to a USB port for charging in their cars or on their personal computers. The only thing I wish the headlamp had that it currently doesn’t, is an over the top head band. It currently only has an around the forehead strap to hold the light up and this strap sometimes isn’t enough support to keep the light in place during vigorous activities without uncomfortable tightening. This product speaks for itself but if you don’t like it, there is a one-hundred and twenty-day no questions asked money back guarantee. All these features for under fifteen dollars make this headlamp a great product across the board versus any of its competitors.

These lights are great!!
I work at night a lot. I like having a light that I don't have to carry in my hand when I am doing pre trips on my truck every night. I have tried just about every light that you can wear on you head over the last 20+ years and they all have something I don't like about them like, battery runs down to soon, batteries are ridiculously hard to put in, fall apart in a couple of days. etc. I can't remember when I bought the first one of these but it has been a while ago now. I had to laugh when I clicked on the page just now it says you have bought 5 of these in the past. Well it's been a hell of a lot more than that. Not because they don't last because I misplace them or purposely leave one in the different cars, my tool box. My ebike emergency bag , my motorcycle. etc. Now let's get to to why I love them. They last a very long time. They are bright, they are comfortable to wear. If you find you have finally ran the battery down no problem as long as you keep a usb charger around which I do. I would estimate I probably have 15 of these things spread out around here I can see 2 of them still new in the box that I keep on a shelf next to my bed right now that are there for emergency power failure. If you decide to buy one I would say buy two if you use them a lot so that one can be charging while you are using the other one. I do that with my ebike wear one on my head and have a spare one in my bag. And I can recharge if necessary with the usb plug on the handle bars of the e bike. Also if you take one camping you can use one of those Portable Charger Power Banks and go for days actually probably weeks. Oh almost forgot if you long press the power button it will turn on just the red lights which I use almost every night of the week when I am getting up to make a bathroom trip. Red light is less disruptive of your sleep and others people around you as well.

Well made light.
I bought this light after numerous failures with Pezel headlamps. Much cheaper, and since much of my usage is around the house, rechargeable is fine. This light performs as well as any of the Pezel lights I've had and is quite well built. I haven't tested its water resistance, but it seems pretty well sealed against light rain. I like the idea that the first switch position is the dimmer light setting, since that's the one I use mostly... it's plenty of light for most things I do, and it's the lowest battery consumption. I also like it that the illumination beam is fairly broad, rather than spot. For long distance usage that might not be optimum, but for reading it's great. I bought a Flagship-X Phoenix at the same time as I bought the Foxelli, and I've found the spot is too tightly focused for reading... I keep having to move my head around to move the beam around the pages. The Foxelli light is also quite robust. My wife was using it to examine the engine of her Dodge Caravan and inadvertently turned off the light and left it sitting on the engine block when she closed the hood. Several days later I opened the hood and discovered the light hanging down from the strap which had melted onto the exhaust manifold. Although the strap is toast, and the mounting guides for the strap on the back of the light are somewhat deformed, the light worked fine when it had cooled down. Impressive performance. I recommend this light.

Great product, would recommend.
Without a doubt, the price for two headlamps is great. Given the thriftiness, I was worried about the quality and strength of the light but it came highly recommended and I’m glad I gave these a try. I love that I can switch easily from white light and red light, on and off etc using just one button. The battery life is insane, I’ve used them almost every night and they’ve yet to lose battery power (granted, I recharge if I’m going on longer walks). The light is super bright and has great visibility. I used these in Death Valley, one of the darkest places to be at night, and it provided amazing visibility - saw all the little bugs flying around, bats flying ~20 feet away from me, etc. The red light also reflected off the eyes of what was probably a coyote many feet away from me - the two red bulbs kind of look like eyes so the critter quickly “noped” after seeing my headlamp so I avoided any confrontation! The fit is great and the band is super comfortable - no chafing even though I sweat A LOT. I’ve also had no trouble with the charging port and the handy red charging light turns green when fully charged. Overall, great product, would recommend.
