The scarf is really large and very soft. It worked great this past winter when it was so cold. I used it as a shawl when I was inside and it helps keep away the chill. The color is vibrant and the pattern is even. The scarf is light but sturdy and would make an excellent gift. It does shed a lot but I'm hoping that after washing that will not be a problem. Still an excellent scarf
