This is a great gift, especially for a beginner
I am kind of torn on this tool set. I think it would make for a great gift for a starting gardener. The bag is good--the one part of the kit I can wholeheartedly recommend--and the set of tools are comprehensive. It's a good "everything you'll need" bag. And it's very well-organized. The tools themselves are somewhat less high-quality. I inherited my Mom's gardening tools, and they're the kinds of things that feel like they'll last a lifetime. These are lighter, less sturdy, and I doubt they'll last two decades. On the other hand, they're shipped perfectly (I left the protective film on so you can see it in the photo) and, again, there's virtually everything you'll need for a small garden. I'm giving it five stars because it's perfect for what I think would be its best purpose: a gift for a new homeowner, a young gardener, or someone who is just starting out and wants to test some tools. Even if the tools get a little scuffed or wear down over time, the bag will definitely hold up. And over a lifetime, a dedicated gardener will just replace each tool as needed, when they know what they like.

Great for the Gardener
I must say that I was pretty impressed with this set. The quality of the bag seems very good. First of all the set came with everything described. Nice pockets to put the tools into, along with a shoulder strap. The spray bottle and repotting mat were a nice addition. The plant tags were also a nice touch. The shovels have markings on them so you know how deep you are digging to plant specific plants. The hand rake and all the tools seem to be pretty solid, and sturdy, however, Until I use them (I'll up date when I do) it is really hard to say, however they seem, to the touch, pretty good quality. I am pretty picky about my pruning shears, and these seem pretty good. The gloves were soft and yet very nice to work with. I like the band that holds your tools in the outside pockets. You really have pretty much everything you need to help with your gardening work. For the price, I think this is not only a great gift, but something I am glad I got for myself.
