Customer reviews

Awesome work gloves so far.
I work at a state park in West Texas so everything here is trying to poke you, prick you, stab you, sting you or both you out here. Let's talk durability first because this is where this glove shines and why your looking at them right? You want a tough rugged glove to protect your hands! Well that's what you get with these gloves. They are rugged I have used them to clear mesquite trees and prickly pear cactus to help build a trail. I don't know how many times I punched or smacked a cactus or a mesquite trees. Yet I can tell you that not one single thorn got through these gloves! That's what was most important to me. Size I have average male hands. I don't have large hands or fat fingers. The size was perfect for me because it was not to tight but also not so lose that they moved around a lot as I worked. I will admit these gloves are very soft on the inside helping making them a more comfortable glove to have on your hands all day. I have used them as work gloves clearing brush and I have also used them as my chainsaw gloves as they work great in the summer because the cuff is so long that I can wear a short sleeve shirt and my arms are covered when I chainsaw or smash prickly pear cactus and mesquite trees. I'm going to buy a few more pair just to keep on hand as they are great gloves. Edited to add:Update they are a year old and still going strong my boss has ran through eight pair of cheap Walmart leather gloves in the same time. I was out in the South West Texas mesquite and pickley pear trimming a fire lane for our burn. I had a young very flexible mesquite tree with thorns that puncture tractor tires snap back at my face! I was luck to get my hands up even luckier because I was wearing these gloves! Now I did crush my finger and have deep bruising yet none of the throne went into my flesh! Blunt impact sucks and hurts but having to pull 1/2 inch mesquite throne from your body after it was impaled sucks more.

They really do work!!
I was skeptical but the reviews convinced me to give these gloves a try. And oh my God, it's true! We have blueberry brambles that keep trying to take over our yard, which means I have to give them a good tightly gripped yank to pull them up by the roots. I don't get stuck by even the mightiest of thorns! The protection is that amazing. They're also really light, soft, and comfortable, and because they have long sleeves, they are versatile and you can do a lot with them. Besides attacking berry brambles and bushes, I can also do rose bush maintenance and weeding the rose bed without scratching up my arms. They are admittedly snug (keeps the critters from sliding in!), so if you are tall or have large hands or long fingers you might have to figure out the sizes. Luckily for me they fit perfectly, but I just have average sized short woman hands. I love these, these are my prize gloves and no one else is allowed to f' with them. I am loyal to the glove makers and if anything happens to my gloves (God forbid) or they get worn down, I'm just ordering a replacement from here.

AWESOME SAUCE!!
If I could give 6 stars, I would! For starters: the XL gloves fit great. I have large hands, and these fit exactly as they should. Not too tight, not too loose - just perfect. The long gauntlets work really well to protect your forearms. The leather is nice & supple. In use: These are the first gloves I have owned that have protected me from over 99% of the brambles from the Himalayan Blackberry vines that grow like weeds out here on Vancouver Island. Winner, winner, chicken dinner!! They also enabled me to pickup branches cut off of our Monkey Puzzle Tree... the branches actually felt soft (which shocked me)!! Don't hesitate - if you are handling nasty underbrush, buy these!

I can grab my wild rose bush!
I can grab my wild rose bush without thorns poking through - yay no more scratches. The thorns are not as long as on some rose bushes, but still these are fantastic for the wild roses and a nasty buckthorn bush. If I could give them 6 stars I would. I'm amazed at how great these are and the glove area is flexible enough to easily work with them on. I imagine they will last a while as they appear very well sewn. The cuffs are nice and long and come just about to my elbows (and I have long arms). I bought the large and they fit my large size hands well.
