Great Purchase - Well built / Good finish
i own about 4 other enamelled cast iron dutch ovens (various sizes). i had wrecked the inside of my 2.5L so i needed to replace it as i find it the perfect size for everyday use. (1 / 2 people) Was looking for a fair price point since i'd only spent 28$ years back on a lagostina (on sale). Anyhoo, this comes in at a slightly lighter weight but the build quality is solid and smooth. It's well built. Fits / Works very well on the small element of an electric stove top. Heats up pretty quick, heat has been even and it cleans up well too. i got this at just under 42$ plus tax. Good value when most of the others in this size were 60$+. recommend. side note, it is a much more vibrant / rich red then some of the photos shown (dull / dark). it has a nice finish.

Sturdy but not too heavy
Perfect dutch oven for 4 to 6 servings of soup, chili, whatever you cook in it. I love that it has a rounded bottom and heats fast and evenly. It is not very heavy and the handles are substantial but not massive. Enamel layer looks good, shiny and even. Food can stuck a bit but I usually use very little oil/fat and I'm still good. Can't comment on chip resistance as I handle this pan with care and there are no chips. Enamel doesn't get stained. I would say, this is a sturdy high quality item, very versatile, with proper handling and care it may serve many years.

Though they are heavy, they cook evenly and thoroughly and come to a boil in about half the time of stainless cookware. Foods cooked in this cookware seem to taste better. Cleanup is a breeze.
