My new favorite book light
I wanted a book light because I was finding my eyes getting strained using the front light of my kindle. Purchased a couple of other book lights before I found this one, and I find I like this one the best. Major pros include the width of this light, it makes the light cast on my device very even. This extra width also allows me to us the light clipped to the side, as well as the top of the screen. Clipped to one side, I can read my device very comfortably at night in bed without disturbing my partner. The clip is secure and can attach to the edge of my kindle paperwhite, even with the added thickness of the leather cover. The material and design of the clip feels like it will not put too much pressure on the device, so I don't feel worried about damaging the kindle. I like the option of having 5 color temperatures, which I use depending on the time of the day or night that I am reading. I like the brightness settings as well, though I mostly find I need to use only the lowest 2 settings. Since I've had this light, I stopped using the other 2 lights I had purchased earlier, I am enjoying it so much. I use it whenever I read my Kindle now, and turn off the kindle frontlight completely - I find the font and the screen look much better and more legible. No issues with the weight. Only con if any, is that it is somewhat less portable compared to more compact booklight models. So I will most probably keep it for home use, and carry one of my other smaller booklights when travelling.

One caveat - I'm not using it for reading...

You should be able to find a comfortable color for your task. Then there are the light levels, from pretty dim to pretty darned bright. Again, you should be able to find a level that suits your task. The fact that the on/off button is separate, and the color temp and brightness each have their own buttons is welcomed. I'm not a fan of mode buttons that control everything, but you have to press it 25 times to find your setting. It's simple to operate, nice & wide for good coverage, and versatile. I haven't had it very long yet, so I can't speak to durability, but so far, so good. You can bet that I will update this review if something goes bad (or goes very well, too) because I count on ratings and reviews to help me make the best decisions with my very limited money, so I try to be helpful to others, too...

Practical convenience at a good price
Love this product. It's wide enough to cover both side of the book when reading with enough light which can be adjusted to suit your reading needs. Love that it's rechargeable so you don't have to worry about batteries dying and having to replace them. Such an improvement over my small non adjustable one that needed batteries replaced which is why I decided to see what Amazon had rather than having to go out and buy more batteries. I read a night in bed and don't like having to have the main room light or lamp on that I'd have to get up and turn off. This item is just the ticket to allow me to read, turn off with a switch and lay it and the book on the bedside table. Such a convenience for a very reasonable price.

This such a great purchase, usb charge so you don’t have to worry about battery, has different modes and brightness level, which is great. The clip is pretty strong and you can clip it anywhere and it would not slip off or fall. Such good quality and the Sturgis is amazing. The size is also perfect. It can shed light on a big book. I’m very easy to use.
