Great bag (size info and pictures added for reference)
This review is specifically for the 40L version. I’ve included a few pictures of the bag with a 1/2 gallon of milk next to it for reference (only thing I saw when looking around that most anyone can relate the size to) I usually travel with a GoRuck backpack and a duffel bag, but I have a trip coming up where I need to take a suit. I didn’t want to add a garment bag to the mix so I looked around for a garment duffel that could serve double duty. This garment bag/duffel combo does exactly that — it eliminates the need to carry a separate garment bag for a suit while still functioning like a traditional duffel. I was torn between the 40L and 45L versions. I ultimately chose the 40L because it’s rated to fit up to a size 40 regular jacket, which is what I wear. That sizing worked out well for me. If you’re going on a trip that’s only for the weekend, then this bag would work all on its own, but if your trip is anything more than that, get the bigger bag. I pack really light and might be able to make it work, but would be pushing it. A couple of things worth noting: First, when using a standard hanger, it hangs fairly low inside the bag. The bottom clips designed to secure the jacket are a bit long and won’t hold properly unless you crisscross them. My workaround will likely be using a simple wire hanger and bending the hook slightly to shorten the overall hang so the jacket sits higher and doesn’t stretch the clips. Second, the included feature card says the shoe compartment fits up to size 11.5. I don’t see how that’s possible unless the shoes fold in half. I wear a 10.5 and tried placing a sleek sneaker inside — it was simply too tall to fit. Those side compartments are usable, just probably not for shoes of that size. Other than that, the bag is very well made. The material feels sturdy and durable — I plan to pair it with a GORUCK backpack, and this was the closest match in material quality that I could find. Many other options I looked at felt flimsy or “chintzy” by comparison. I had also read reviews on other bags where people mentioned straps tearing because they were poorly sewn into the body. That does not seem like it will be an issue here. The construction feels solid. There are plenty of pockets, the interior lining has a soft, almost felt-like texture, and the zippers are sturdy metal — not plastic teeth. Overall, it feels like a high-quality bag and definitely worth the money.

Better than a garment bag
It was in the bag for several days and still kept my suit wrinkle free for a wedding. The side shoe pockets were a little cumbersome, but I also have size 12 shoes so probably works better for maybe up to size 10. Next time probably will just put them in the main compartment and leave the sides for socks/undies or something smaller. Only used once but seems well made and much easier to carry than a garment bag. I just slid it over my roller suitcase handle and it was super easy to roll them both around with one hand.

Great bag
The bag holds a surprising amount of clothing, even with dress clothes and size 11 dress shoes in the shoe pockets. I didn’t have any issues fitting in the overhead bin on planes. It was a bit tight the time I had to put it under the seat. I would definitely recommend this bag. I did go with the larger option.

Goodbye Duffle Bags - Must have Carry-on
Very durable and well-crafted. I enjoyed how much more space I had to use than a duffle bag, and for its design, it is very light weight, yet strong. Received multiple compliments in the airport so don’t be surprised is stock starts to get low from increased inventory demand!
