Great, for a year.
I love this little coffee pot but... count on a years worth before having to buy another. Let's be completely honest, for a programmable coffee pot, that brews just enough, this little pot is amazing. Geez I sound like an infomercial... Coupled with a Mr. Coffee removable ground holder, there's nothing more you can ask for. Its one of the smallest coffee machines on the market, taking up very little counter space. In comparison, its about the size of a toaster only vertical. Lightweight and easy to pack up in a camper, hotel room, tent with alternative power, etc. Both the water intake and grounds go in from the front, both very accessible. No little triangle hole to hit at the back of the maker itself. No moving it around to find a button or flip a lid up, or pulling it out to see what youre doing. I brew 3 cups every morning. Fresh, aromatic,...the best part of waking up...right, moving on...I have coffee waiting for me every morning, each pot just as good as the next. But with all good things comes an end. The programming usually goes about the 7th month mark...by the 8th month, the thing perculates like its taking it last dying breath. Put 3 cups in, get 2 cups back. Ive tried cleaning, running vinegar thru it, nothing helps what Im assuming is evaporation...maybe?. Granted Im not as crafty as my father, who would of had the entire thing in pieces on display on the kitchen table, meticulously cleaning each part before reassembly. But I digress, when it gets to that point, plan to spend another $30, dont forget the removable basket and no, dont bother hoarding the glass carafe just in case it breaks...well, ok, maybe if your susceptible to dropping things. If I had 1 thing to gripe about, its the pour lip of the carafe. Pour too fast and it spills all over the place, which seems to be an issue I personally have with many different style pots. So yeah, for the money, this machine is definitely worth it.

Excellence in a tiny inexpensive pot.
This coffee maker brews a very tasty 5 cups of coffee. Apparently you can adjust the coffee, lighter or darker. It definitely does shut off in two hours like it says it does. At my age that’s a very good safety factor. I love the fact that when I load my coffee filter it’s very easy to use the front loader. It’s also very easy to fill the water because it fills from the front. If you want to program it to turn on at a certain time you can. The coffee is nice and hot and stays at a good temperature when you refill your cup. You can pause the brewing to pour a cup of coffee and then put the pot back on to complete the brewing.It’s small and convenient for one or two people. It does exactly what it says it will do. The only thing that could make it even more perfect is if it beeped when it shut off to remind me that I better grab my last little bit of coffee before it gets cold. I’m not sure it might do that, but I don’t think I’ve noticed a beep. Anyway I have been delighted with this pot. Cause all the things that I love about it my old coffee maker did not do. And I really noticed the difference.

Good 5 cup drip coffee maker
When my previous drip maker, owned about 5 months, developed a major problem, Amazon was my first stop to find a new coffee maker. Happily I found the HB 5 Cup Drip Coffee Maker. Yes, it's about the same size but there are big differences to me. The reservoir is in the front and unit's rectangular shape makes counter placement much easier; easier to clean; doesn't drip; coffee basket swings out for easy access and removable for cleaning and has setting for regular or bold flavor and quickly brews coffee. I love the coffee pot shape with its wider opening for cleaning and lip doesn't drip. What disappoints me is the all plastic unit so don't know if it will be a good value and the clock/controls are flat and difficult to read. It would be beneficial if clock was back lit or controls angled. Overall so happy with unit brewing my morning coffee.

I was looking for a smaller cup coffee maker when my 12-cup one finally broke. It was important that I have a programmable one for my morning java. I'm one of those that want their coffee immediately upon waking. I'm pleased to say that this compace 5-cup coffee maker fit the bill. It takes up very little space on my counter, is programmable and makes a decent cup of coffee - there is also a "stronger" brew button you can select. Would I buy it again? Yes I would!!
