The Kettle That Became My Morning Butler
If you had told me a month ago that buying a simple USB plug would transform my mornings into a scene from a luxury hotel, I would’ve laughed. But here we are — this Hamilton Beach electric kettle has teamed up with that little wall plug like a dynamic duo, and now I wake up every day to hot water waiting for me like I’m royalty. This kettle boils water faster than my patience on a Monday, and it does it with a glowing LED ring that makes it look like it’s preparing for liftoff. The 1.7‑liter capacity is perfect: enough for tea, oatmeal, instant coffee, or whatever emergency hydration ritual I’m performing before I’m fully awake. The cordless design is smooth — lift, pour, repeat — and the auto‑shutoff feature means it won’t keep boiling until it sounds like a steam locomotive. It’s basically the responsible adult in my kitchen. But the real magic? I plugged it into my new USB smart plug, set a schedule, and now this kettle fires up before I even roll out of bed. I shuffle into the kitchen like a zombie, and boom — piping hot water, ready to go, as if I have a personal butler named Reginald who whispers, “Your tea awaits, sir.” The stainless‑steel finish looks sharp, the lid opens easily, and the whole thing feels sturdy enough to survive the morning chaos of someone who is not a morning person. In short: This kettle didn’t just upgrade my kitchen. It upgraded my entire personality before 8 a.m. Five stars. Perfect for anyone who wants hot water on demand and the illusion of having their life together.

No more worries about kettle being left on
I should have done this sooner. I grew up with a whistling tea kettle always on the stove. I always had one myself... most recently a Revere tea kettle that was about 15 years old. I love Revere ware and they don't make it any more. My husband didn't hear the whistle and twice left the tea kettle on the stove til the water boiled out and it badly discolored inside. (Impossible to get in there and clean it.) I begrudgingly agreed to say goodbye to it and get an electric one. Should have done it sooner. This kettle is inexpensive (I don't need the fancy ones with different temperatures, I only use it... all the time... to boil water.). It looks nice (stainless steel), now frees up space on the stove, works well (simple to use) and heats water quickly. It has gotten non-stop use in the time I have had it. Easy to clean, and I plan to just regularly boil vinegar to keep it fresh. Most importantly, no more leaving the house and then saying "oh no, was the tea kettle left on?" I do miss hearing the whistle, but times change. You can hear the water boiling up in this one, which does not bother me in the least. You hear a click when it shuts itself off... the new whistle. I am 73. Yea, you can teach an old dog new tricks.

Reliable, quick, good design.
I bought this to replace one that I had bought at Price club when I belonged to a price club. For 20 bucks I got this essentially same pot-I'm not even sure what year it was it was..... but it's probably at least 15 years ago and I never had a problem with it and one day it just didn't work the base still worked but not the pot.( I know that the base kept on working because when the new one came I saw that I could still charge it on the old base.) It should have been fixable but I had no idea who to take it to to fix it so and it was something I really depended on so I went online hoping to find the same model. This was as close to the one as I had as I had had before and now has a light which my other ones didn't have and it's a nice light it's kind of a turquoise blue it's very soothing I'd rather not have paid for it but seems like all in all compared to the others this was the closest to the model that I wanted. It also now has the ability for me to gauge how many cups are in it from the side which my other one did not. I think it heats up even faster it's been incredibly reliable so far and I just hope it lasts me 15 years like the other one did!

Excellent Value, Quality, and Appearance
Excellent quality, very attractive (I bought the red one), boils full capacity of 1.7 liters in under 7 minutes, easy operation. I couldn't be more pleased, especially given the great price. Has all the features I wanted, including water level indicator, auto shut off, auto on (it turns itself on as soon as you place the kettle on the charge base), and one touch button to open. This one's a keeper.
